Hi Folks
I came over a post on one of the FB forums where a chap was selling a plug in system that prevented the auto start/stop working.
It was second hand as he had used it but was selling his T6 and had no use for it but I can’t find the post again.
Is there a system that stops the auto...
There isn't a forum hit on that exact code but there are threads on issues with NOx sensors and adblue issues, a fault that disables the adblue system has the potential to stop the engine starting.
Those threads also suggest checking the wiring as a potential issue.
You got access to vcds to log some data?
@mmi has done extensive work with vcds data logging for crank no starts.
Ie, start the logger running to catch the no start. Then stop and post the results.
if you have stop/start - then you have the smart alternator.
if no stop/start - then regular setup so you can clip on the NEG post.
this is the shunt sensor. . . on a T6.
...
and a T6.1 here. . .
....
and a good old T5 . . . with NO SHUNT..

I done the same as Green Giant. The Autoterm heater detects low voltage and will stop the heater from starting to preserve your battery. Have a look at a Topdon JS3000 jump pack. Reasonably priced but very good.
Thanks for that
Offering lane assist. Have it on both our other cars and find it useful for preventing crashes whilst trying to stop alll the kids starting WWIII
I have a vw crafter daua
Sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn't
Code p0562 appears
I've changed the battery and it's still the same
It works then when I stop the van and try to start it again it doesn't start and it can start in 3 hours or 2 days.
What could it be? I'm going mad
that's interesting . . and not very common on here.
what's the van spec, age, mileage?
did it cause any other issues? main fuses, alternator?
did you have AA or self diagnosed etc?
tell us more

i was wondering at what point we would start to see starter motor and battery issues from...
I know you can 'scroll away' from the message back to the regular van image, however the 'engine starting/press clutch/other non persistent alarms as still present(at least on my van) just hidden as your looking at a different screen. Perhaps not quite so annoying for you with stop/start...
Also no need to hold the key in the start position. ( like the old days!) Turn the key to crank and release immediately. The cranking is automatic and will stop on its own when the engine starts.
And if you haven't disabled the fantastic stop/start function (for whatever multiple reason) the engine won't stop if it is doing a regen. For me, the only good thing about stop/start.
...at now, I’m running out of ideas and money, my guy who looks after my van hasn’t come across this problem either.
Coil light flashing /Startstop error , plugged in and needed an oil pressure switch, had this fitted,
Two weeks later coil light flashing again, won’t rev over 3000 rpm when...
Looking for some help, the rear interior lights no longer come on when rear doors are opened on my 2008 T5 they started off by being intermittent some time on sometimes off, so this is where I'm up to, I moved rear light to second row and that to the rear, all works ok on second row but still...
Does the van struggle to start at times and has the stop/startstopped working as these point to the starter battery being forked and as has been said already low power can set off unrelated "passive sporadic" faults definitely don't automatically entertain bent conrods or similar dead engine...
Hi all. Got a problem that needs a bit of logical thing and deduction.
I have a ticking noise from my fuel pump even when I’ve stopped the engine, got out, and locked the vehicle.
I remove the fuel pump relay fuse and it stops. Put the fuse back in and no ticking. Start and stop the engine and...
Interesting. I'm surprised they don't do this already.
I drove a T6.1 with DSG and ACC around May last year - it definitely did Follow To Stop and then automatically started again.
I found that I had to follow the instructions on the dash, which was when coming to a stop brake as instructed and...
Hi there,
I installed a Noname VW RCD 330 with reverse cam into my T5.1 and all has been well for a couple of years until I took photos to sell it and would you believe it’s decided to stop working. I get the error “the camera system is not available” or something very similar.
At first I...
Assuming you're asking about T6, please have a look below. If you can adjust adaptations of battery regulator with your scanner then yes.
