Ok just to make clear that Apple car play still works as does the radio display. The channel can be changed using the MFSW and also you can answer the phone using the MFSW. Reverse camera works as does sensor display. A few pics below.

I’m still no further forward with this also. I’ve done about 4k miles since buying the van and still have seen zero information on the ad blue anywhere. I’ve upgraded to a MFSW still nothing. Defo got ad blue as the filler is there.

Micro soldered on LED, no chance of fixing yourself. Have a look on YouTube for more pics etc. You need an electronics guy to do it. The mfsw needs stripping down to get the button set out.

No worries. I posted the adaptations above I could find in the gateway and none for the mfsw module seemed to be for the buttons. Ironically most people seem to want to change to this mode and go operation 2, I prefer the old way but in operation 1 already. Hhhmmm

If i fit a MFSW, can i change the stalks to do away with the trip function and do it all through the MFSW? Cheers Lee

Followed your write up today......took about 2hrs to remove the golf mk7 buttons off the flat bottom mfsw and do the same to my t6 round mfsw......its a M12 spline to remove my wheel, reattached my buttons from my t6 round wheel on to the flat bottom wheel with dsg paddle, refitted, works...
