Today was the DRL.
I managed to find a brand new OEM RHS H7 from Deutschparts, with some damage but functional. A bargain, and only a tiny chip off the extreme corner is visible once fitted.
I wouldn't have a hope in hell of soldering the new DRL holder on to my older H7, so this was my only...

There is now talk of a study for DfT (pun alert…) looking into dazzling headlights due to the number of complaints and related collisions - some with deaths involved. Apparently since 2013 there is an average of 280 collisions a year where dazzling headlights are mentioned and six of...

I've had the bulb warning light go off on my 2016 T6 Caravelle. Had a look and I beleive it is the driver side daytime running light (it's the area marked in red on the attached photo). I ordered a new bulb and had ten minutes free this afternoon to try and replace it, an hour later I hadn't got...
In perfect working order. Just taken off my 2018 T6. Offers please. Would prefer collection, but may be able to drop off / meet up depending on location.
I'm with you on this, I have standard lights on my t6 and perfectly fine to me in different weather/light conditions. What really bugs me is several vehicles with day lights that are still bright during the day and can still blind you!
Very true. Personally I’m happy enough. GT200 bulbs and they’re fine, it’s a camper not a sports car, I’m not out-driving my night vision.
I don’t personally think aftermarket lights with fish eye projectors (literally designed to cut the light off) and H1 full beams (I sold a previous vehicle...
In all fairness if you think of all the AA, RAC and various business user VW T6s that are still on the road despite the H4 headlight it's really only this forum where we get upset that a commercial vehicle headlight isn't as good as that on a £35k car.
At £20, my redundant H4headlights took a couple of months to sell to someone using them temporarily on a T5 to T6 front end conversion. The replacement H7 headlights I bought were a direct fit for me. The only Carista coding needed was to make the dip and main bulbs stay on when on full beam...
Morning all
I currently have the standard H4headlights in my 2016 T6. Can anyone confirm if the part number 7L2.941.005.b H7 headlights are a direct fit with no coding required?
If so, what would be a reasonable second hand price would you say (I've seen them going for a huge range of prices...
The amount of ‘stuff’ you can buy for these is limitless. And as pointed out a lot is down to personal taste.
One thing that really does need changed is your headlights. The H4’s on your van are next to completely useless. There’s about a thousand pages on this.
Unfortunately it’s not a cheap...
Do you have any idea who what how they are illegal … just starting my research and it seems a blooming minefield of options, advice and opinion … all I want is a simple (legal?), solid fix to poor illumination (I’m happy to pay what it takes, not looking for cheap)
