    Non-OEM window insect panels

Thanks @Ian28 for the measurement help... Its a decent first attempt... some room for improvement before putting them into production... but they'll definitely be a godsend to keep the midges out with the windows open...

    Camping Ideas and Tips

...especially if I open the door. Just fitted an orange LED light inside as well. Fantastic, hardly any insects attracted to it so can open door to go outside without every insect from here to Timbuktu flying in. Especially good if mosquitoes or midges are around. And more restful on the eyes.

Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

This time of the year there’s 24 hour daylight so you there’s more time to count sheep and puffins! My partner has just had a week on Shetland, there are plenty of EHU points around the main island and camping ‘wild’ is normal. Very friendly and helpful locals apparently.

This years camping in the UK :-(

...away from tents. However, we made a point this year of avoiding the club sites because of the risk of last minute closures due to Covid. This approach seems to be working so far. All I now need to figure out is how to avoid the midges. They seem to pounce on me just as I am putting on the spray!

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Yep, I went over all the mesh vents in mine with proper midge netting, they wouldn’t even notice mosi netting. Not made for northern climates unfortunately, I don’t know why manufacturers don’t get it.

    Non-OEM window insect panels

...with these. I had my roof up last week and the side zip open panels have insect mesh on the outside. No way was I even thinking of opening the panels as I could see through the stud fasteners that the size of the mesh wouldn't stop the midge. I even duct taped over the hole in the stud fasteners.
