Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

I’m quite used to the midges as get plenty where I’m from but it’s one good thing about the wind, it’s keeping them away. I don’t think it’s every overly busy here. Campsite is busy enough but beaches are that big and there are plenty so all seem quiet.

...year and is thinking of buying insect netting… This is the difference between an Amazon sourced insect net material (left) and a proprietary midge net material. (right) BTW —. Highland midges are bloomin’ microscopic buggers and do easily pass through the former. DAMHIK PS don’t forget...

    Tyres for Nc500

There’s less snow than that already!! Here’s a mountain between Achnashellach and Torridon last weekend: (Although it will probably snow again before March is out just to punish anyone silly enough to get excited that it’s spring already!)

    Tyres for Nc500

...on the single track roads, look well ahead and be prepared to stop. Don't park in passing places, and don't pull over to passing places on the right, just stop opposite them. Your tyres will be fine, though there may be snow on the top of Bealach Na Ba, and in April there won't be too many...

    Scotland in winter?

Had some great trips and some miserable ones too. No midges though in winter. You could always bail out to Edinburgh if it’s bad.
