Two 13mm bolts at the back and two 13mm bolts at the front, then try not to hurl the seat so the seat belt wire stays connected then tease out the fuse block to replace the fuse you can already see has blown through the fuse block cover, replace fuse and reverse the whole operation and ten...
Oh font of all knowledge, van drove faultless on the way to Cornwall, been parked up for 2 days and decided to go for a drive, noticed that the steering was heavier than normal and a horrible whining sound when turning the wheel, (video won't upload)
Can send via Watts app if anyone is intrigued...
Hi all,
I installed some stx coilovers the weekend with the help of youtube. I've always done the brakes on my vehicles but never done suspension work before.
I'm sure I've installed everything correctly and the van drives so much nicer with no bangs or knocks etc...
But....
I'm sure I can...
...a fluid change just refill.after work.
What's the procedure on the T6 to change the fluid ?
I ask as I noticed when it's cold minus 5 and below I get a loud whine from the pump until the fluid warms up then its quiet. Its 6 years old and suspect it's absorbed some moisture over the...
Now reduced its been in to look at engine management light it needs a the egr valve cleaning or replacement also the gearbox has a slight whine in 3rd and 5th gear so now being sold as spares or repair, ideal if you can do the work yourself and grab yourself a cheap van
...away air awning, great when we take our 16 year old and the Labrador.
With regard to noise from the fiamma? Not a bit, we've had a rattle when the legs haven't been clipped into the cover, but no wind whistles or whines even at motorway speeds. Totally recommended!
Best of luck in your quest!
Reporting back in case anyone else has similar. As suspected the noise was a failing aux belt tensioner. Belt, tensioner and water pump changed. Cambelt also done at the same time as it was due soon anyhow. Whine gone and problem solved.
Hey guys,
I have noticed a slight whine/growl which sounds like the motor chugging but a slight bit rougher, only when in 6th or 7th gear under load. When coasting it disappears completely.
anybody had this same problem?
Thanks J
You are a genius! @Dellmassive learnt so much off this forum! I've just got a 5a noco charger as well.... Again, few issues with other van and whining and dash flashing like a Christmas Tree! Been racking my brain over best battery and setup, your posts very helpful.
If you run some specific LEDs, they’re electrically ‘noisy’ and that can wipe out the DAB signal. Similar to the alternator whine or interference from the coil you used to get on old car radios.
….and some USB adaptors do the same.
...much non stop for 18 months!
Noticed this knocking noise whilst driving today and then tried to replicate it whilst stationary so I could record it.
Any ideas where I should start? It’s also got abit of high pitched whine in 5th gear at motorway speeds. Although that could be unrelated...
Sorry, I didn’t realise it had already been covered but found and had a read through.
Only question is do you get any wind noise from the raised panel? After years of driving around with roof bars and ladders and hating every second of the whistling and whining I don’t want to put a panel up...
Hi All,
Had exact same problem, had flashing coil light for months, people scanned it and couldn’t find anything. Came on couple of weeks ago, restarted engine and went off. But accompanied by turbo whining.
Took it for a smoke test to see if had any leaks on pipes, none.
Took it to another...
100% agree @Bav and have said similar many times (to anyone who cares to listen to my whining!)
and although not practical to spend a year on a bicycle surely it would be practical, and wholly beneficial, for everyone to spend time on/in each different class of vehicle as part of their driving...
...was swerved because though I had no EML, I had a confirmed fault for inlet manifold runner position. On top of a noise I’m certain is a turbo whine. So I’m anticipating a large turbo & new dpf bill coming. Which I hope will solve the oil consumption. All will become clear in November as I’m...
Or, bear with me for my crazy idea, buy a £25 Carista and a £40 a year subscription so you can be monitoring your DPF.
DPFs don’t just block for fun. Either you have
a) been ignoring the issue for a while, or
b) another engine issue that blocked it really quick, or
c) been doing lots of short...
