Hi everyone
Second post on the forum.
So.... Had my 2019 startline Lowered on sportline springs at the main stealer costing £445. I did this to maintain the warranty. The van then developed a rotational metallic rubbing sound intermittently. Not the 20" wheels rubbing on full lock, this...
...factory insulation is better than aftermarket as mine has the dodo style sheets and some type of thinsulate plus boards and carpets but the whine from the transmission along with increased wind and road noise vs our golf mk7 is marked.
The golf is a dsg with adaptive shocks and I still see...
...same album on in the car. The only problem is that to do so, I had to stop listening to 'Spot The Difference' by Squeeze which is another brilliant album that never fails to get me singing along when I'm alone in the car (at least, I call it singing but my wife says it's more of a nasal whine).
Thanks. As you say, better the pump than the rack. I'm guessing it has to be one or the other as the 'whining' wouldn't occur otherwise?
Bit annoying as the van is only 3 years old with ~40k miles. Also, running stock 215/60/17 wheels and tyres so no obvious source of stress on the system...
I bought my T6 Kombi last week (privately) and noticed it made a low whirring sound that varied with engine speed when low speed manoeuvring. It was pretty quiet though and I was probably too excited so didn't somehow think to mention it at the time.
I notice it again today and realised it only...
...- Revo remap done by same company 1 year ago.
- Van has always (in my ownership - 2 years) used up to 1L of oil per 1,000 miles.
- I had a odd whine/whirring sound from the turbos before, when manoeuvring the van. Mechanic listened to it... decided it wasn't a concern. Backpressure or...
Hi,
I have a 2016 Caravelle, and I am getting what I could only describe as a whining noise from the front. it starts at around 30mph, doesn't get any louder the faster I go but instantly goes below around 30mph.
it is a high pitch noise, almost like wind passing over a roof rack, almost a...
...you noticed if your redarc has a slight wining sound sometimes when accelerating or braking? Mine is located under the passenger seat and does whine and its quite noticeable if the radio is off. I had a look on Google and couldn't find anything from the UK but some discussion on Australian...
...same unit for a year but only just attempted adding an amp. I spliced a (cheap) line output convertor, but was met with horrendous alternator whine and hiss on the speakers. I would love to avoid upgrading the head unit!
Also, on the Carplay/Android side, mine crashes constantly. The whole...
I`ve noticed the same on mine just this week. Mines a manual, and sounds similar to a wheel bearing sort of whine.
I've only noticed it since I more or less emptied the van out. Maybe a bit of axle whine ?
CCC, slightly spolied by the pasty faced wardens, whining that we turned up to early. That's why next year there will be no more membership of either CMC or CCC! Wild camping almost exclusively for us next year
I will try
It sounds like when your central.locking is already locked and you try the key again. Like a short sharp whine but this is from 5he engine bay
...was the logic of having to queue online just to get access to their poxy site and only then find out that they don't stock that item or timber size... obviously I didn't reply as it's far easier to come on here and whine instead!
That poor van, worst site for pitch size and expensive hookup...
Further update on this noise. If travelling in 5th the whine/drone noise is there, taking your foot off the accelerator and it goes away, coming back again once the accelerator is pressed again? It’s going back into VW next week but would love to know if anyone has experienced this issue and...
hi folks
got a very annoying whine from the engine thats present around 80% of the time, particularly bad under load/acceleration from low revs.
i have worked out that its linked to the interior fan, if i switch the fan off the whine stops!!!! it looks like this is an issue on some t5gp but...
