A little update on this, and I'm as confused as ever
Apparently there is no egr delete kit available for my EGR which is the same part as used on the T6.1 and crafter.
Does anyone know any different?
Below is my reply from darkside developments.............
You have EGR part number...
Disconnect any connected phones and delete them. Then try a soft reset as above and see what happens. Failing that restore to factory settings - it’s in the main menu
Thanks Gary!
I took the adjusters out on the drive this morning to see how it sat. It was just springs so there might be a slight rise in height if the power flex deletes were in there but it’s too low. This is with nothing in the back of the van either.
The EGR was starting to fail (not fully closing).
So it has been blanked and then deleted in the software, no other mapping (for performance or whatever).
If needed, I could replace it and re-enable. This was the best option for me.
If your egr is deleted and blanked off then the codes will go away together with all your egr problems. Since mine was done my dpf regens have been same as before. I don’t do many short journeys though.
If I can’t get it sorted by trying this I think I’m going to get the adblue mapped out of the van.
From what I’ve been told you can just delete it from the software and it won’t look for adblue anymore.
Thanks. How many miles you have driven?
Do you think if the DPF filtering matrix has been removed or is it still in place? The data somewhat suggests the engine can't do proper DPF regeneration.
I don't know what happened above......I seemed to have added lots of quotes somehow???.......Can't delete them either....I so rubbish with tech :rofl:
...car specialist tuners, appear to be well used and been around a while, they have a T6 work van themselves, I’m thinking that I will need to delete the dpf too when doing the EGR delete, so I don’t get any more issues with the dpf clogging up that I had earlier this year and had it cleaned...
The engine management light has been on for around 6 months. I’ve removed the EGR valve and cleaned it thoroughly, I’ve even had the map and deletes removed and gone back to standard. Local garage said the DPF is blocked but not sure how bad and whether it would benefit a clean or replacement...
It’s a crap system! No one should have to put up with this rubbish. Mine has had issues from new and has been into VW several occasions only to revert back to sticking on full or sticking on empty for ages. Next time a get a chance it’s going to be deleted!
Solow’s, hub mod, machined top mounts and rear adjuster deletes. The SoLo’s live up to their reputation, smooth riding for sure. Need the H&R roll bars to finish off then we are done for suspension mods.
EGR delete issues….
I have been speaking with a tuner and he said you don’t need to perform an egr delete as the map can permanently shut the egr valve. You also map the code out. I’ve looked into an EGR delete a lot but never heard of a map shutting the valve and blanking plates would be the...
