...for now!!
Decided to head up to Worcester to see West Midlands camper conversions yesterday to get the van sound deadening, thermal insulation and the fleece insulation. They did offer to travel down and fit at the home address but I thought a day out in Worcester would be in order.
After a...
Although my camper had insulation installed it was not done with an enthusiastic touch. So I sound-deadened and re-insulated, having to make access panels on the kitchen unit side. I now run the heater a little less in cold weather but i can understand converters not insulating. However, my...
...Save money, weight and time and do not cover 100% in 2mm butyl. Learn/recognise the difference between sound deadening (panel boom) and closed cell thermal insulation , 6mm+ which will also have noise reducing properties

...deaden / insulate in some of the panels. I need to get a trim tool to check in the roof.
I was looking to get the dodo mat deadening and insulation kit as I think it will probably do a much better job. If I pulled out all that loft insulation stuff it's obviously going to leave crap stuck to...
...maintenance - but so long as you take each wire out individually and make sure it's insulated before you move the other one the risk of any short is minimal. A simple method might be to temporarily attach something like standard insulation connector block to the bare ends - don't just rely on...

Want to have a switch panel on the rear panel on drivers side but...
...and only had the bed base at first. I now have an extra board to fill the gap above the front seats which I think adds a bit if extra sudo insulation.
I brought insulated window covers, the internal silver stick on ones for all windows. Which has mad a big difference.
I have a diesel heater...
I install insulation into all my vans, I use superfoil, it's thick and sound insulates as well, so cooler in summer warmer in winter, for max longevity I spray corrosion inhibitor into all cavities internal and external and add a polythene vapour barrier to internal before replacing internal...
...insulate and carpet but have had conflicting advice around deadening; some saying it makes a massive difference, others saying that insulation, boarding where necessary and carpeting is all you need.
What's the consensus on the forum, does it make all the difference or not; and if it does...
Thanks for the replies. So do I need this for the Towbar? I have 3 connections to the main battery via 15a fuses….or can I just coil it up and insulate?
While it’s not bad what’s the best way to clean all the dirt along the edges of the floor, need it spotless prior to insulation and ply please. I dont want to pressure wash it.
