High Voltage Issue on CTEK/Sargent EC155

Hi all Currently running this system on my 2017 T6 Euro 6: CTEK 250SA DC-DC Sargent EC155 Victron Smart Shunt Victron MPPT 75/15 120w Solar Panel System had been running fine, just back from a weekend away without issue, but on the school run yesterday the Sargent panel started alarming, the...

    Manchester / surrounding electrics company?

Those look like the pins should come out pretty easily? Do you have an tools? Or sometimes an unfolded paper clip can work. Where about in Manchester are you?

Direct charge from 240v hook up to Fogstar 105ah Lithium Battery

...from Dellmassive and yes modern 12v Fridge. tbh Im not sure on the MCB side of things though. The 240v as far as I can see runs from the Sargent loom to a Junction box under driver's seat and then on to the ehu plug under bonnet. Can I connect the new charger in the junction box and use the...

    Changing lead-acid battery to AGM

Hi, My lead-acid battery has had it's day and I was looking at changing this for a 120ah AGM battery. I have the Sargent EC155 power supply unit and Sterling B2B charger (picture), am I okay to go ahead with this straight swap? Thanks

Should I ditch the Sargent? Please help

Thanks. This is sounding like the route I’m going to take. I’m happy enough with the Sargent controlling the 12v and 240 and I have got a control panel attached to it. I like Big Si’s idea of keeping my current solar panel just now and up grading the charger to MPPT. Upgrading the panel is...

    Solar setup with Sargent ec155

So after a quick glance through things to think about: You don't show a DC-DC charger - if you are expecting the Sargent split charge relay to do the charging then think again, you'll likely wreck the Renogy batteries, your alternator, the Sargent or all three. LiFePo needs a dedicated charger...

Should I ditch the Sargent? Please help

...straight swap for the dc-dc charger (albeit while taking into account the cabling for this may need upgrading) and bypass the charging in the Sargent and fit a decent charger direct to the battery (existing cabling is redundant then from the Sargent so no need to upgrade as such), and of...

Sargent + Leisure Battery Charging Help

The theory says it will reduce the life of the battery....cant say whether this is a reality as i swapped out the LB when i got mine and then shortly thereafter ripped out the Sargent charger. Thinking more about taking the EC155 out over winter.

Renogy 12V Lithium ion battery - Sargent EC160

Should add that the existing wires from the Sargent units 12V charger output are also the wires that bring in the 12V to the Sargent to distribute power out to your various 12V equipment, fridge, water pump etc so will need to be reused in some form. On my Redline conversion I did away with the...

Victron DC DC Charger - charging issue

Can't really show all wiring but the company I paid to fit Victron sorted it all out and I am happy that they did sort it all. Starter battery dying was my fault

    Sargent ec160

Hi all. Newbie here and I bought a t6 campervan new. It came with a sargent ec 160 to deal with the onboard electrics. I fixed a 200w solar kit from photonic universe, thinking it would happily run the fridge without having to always have an electric hook up. However I noticed that the vehicle...

    Leisure power upgrade

...via a busbar or via chassis ground. You won't need any connection to the SB for the shunt, all it's measuring is in/out for the LB. You'll have negatives from the Orion 50a, the MPPT, the Ablemail, the EHU charger - and the negative from the Sargent (presumably that's all your DC loads).

    Revolution Camper Conversions

For future info: In the process of ripping my Sargent EC155 out i discovered what those 3 fuses are. The first is for the heater (white) , the second for the heater controller (black) and the third for the LB supply to the PMS (yellow)

Swapping my leisure battery to LiFePO4

Lithium needs a different charging profile which I don't think your Sargent device can provide. Your solar controller needs to have a Lithium profile too. So no, you can't just swap the battery out. Show us some photos of what you have and you will get good advice here. Pete

Upgrade from Sargent EC155 Advice Request

The fogstar has replaced the battery in the diagram, just not updated the diagram. The sargent connects to the bus bar positive from memory.

    Life after a T6 camper

Yep, this is the issue with a lot of pre built, and from a lot of professional converters! The kit does the job, to a degree. And probably 75% of owners will never care as they will just use the van parked up on hookup for a week at a family campsite whilst their feral kids kick footballs off of...

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

...have too many usb’s. Whilst I had the bulkhead removed to access the wiring, fitted a flying lead with ring terminals so I can easily connect my Noco charger to the leisure battery. There is a charger built into the Sargent unit but it is pretty basic, the Noco is much more “battery friendly “.
