Well, for class N1 vehicle (VIN: WV1....) the software update is not mandatory - which might be the reason for their statement. However, there is an update available (6166) for vehicle's suffering P20EE fault. No, it just irons out some annoyances. Would be astonishing if not.

I got the software version, it was the original one, it went in last week funnily enough and they said although on original 2016 software and getting P20EE fault it doesn't need an update and it isn't part of any recall!
