I thought it was 30g or maybe even 35g, but 50g and above and you’ll get a warning light as it won’t be able to regen automatically at that level.
There’s loads of good threads about dpf’s and regens etc.
My 10 cents, premium diesel, Millers/Hydra additives and yearly oil/filter changes to...
I had the same concern but was assured by the tuner it would regen as before. I believe this is because adblue injection is post dpf?
I’ve been monitoring it on the dpf app, though the frequency is less than desirable when it does regen, the soot mass does drop to the required value.
...pressure on VAG DPF?
1) Engine idling - right after startup (cold engine, cold exhaust)
2) Engine idling after a drive (thus DPF input gas temp approx. 200 °C)
Perhaps you could share a log of a journey - preferably from end of a regen till next regen.
In the settings - tick "Write log"
That's not the case, no. If a regen is interrupted, the fans will continue to run for a few minutes to cool the vehicle down. The regen will restart on the next journey.
Hi folks is there a way to check regen history? Backstory, van was in at garage where a forced regen was done and I was charged for. I then jump into the van to drive away and it starts a regen. I check VAG dpf and sure enough it's at 24g of soot and regen is in full swing. Went back to the...
Mine would regen from 25g down to 6g like normal, I'd then drive for a bit it would climb up to 11g slowly like it should and then pop straight to 25g and start the regen again
...at 5%. I'd expect that's the worst you'd see but time would tell when mine arrives and I can live with it for longer.
Did you play with the regen? It has strong one pedal mode and a milder mode controlled via the gear stalk button.
I was getting 2.7m/kwh on my test in sport mode with...
...8k miles now on the clock and multiple oil and filter changes running in. Now changing after every 5k miles.
So on a run the DPF is doing regens every 150~200 miles (217 miles max), around town which is not very often, is about 100 miles plus.
Question I have is it seems very reluctant to...
Regens happen automatically when needed according to the soot level.
Regular as clockwork on mine at around 1/3 and 2/3 fuel tank mark...so are around 150mile intevals, but it changes with driving conditions.

Interesting. For some other reasons on the longer trips I've been watching for the regens on VAG-DPF and then dropping a gear or two to raise the revs while they happen. Think I might carry on doing that.
Being a fairly sedate driver I like strong regen, keep it as close to one pedal driving as possible. Mrs Sasquatch is a young lady in a hurry and prefers a lighter regen effect.
