Not worried at all, I have a 2016 Euro 5 CFCA (so called oil burning nightmare?), the oil level never changes between oil changes and oil analysis shows Nil everytime.

If its a t5/5.1/6 no one sells them cheap even with buggered engines, every Spring there is a new bunch of 180 CFCA's on the forums asking about high oil use on a new van they just bought for top dollar

Probably more than you’d imagine with so many components coded. The ECU for a start. The 180 CFCA is a very sound engine providing the EGR issue is dealt with, that costs 142 Euro and an hour of your time.

Looking EGR emulator from Tafmet, might be an easier way forward. Just back from talking with local VW specialist garage near Inverness and he didn't think there would be a problem long term just blanking the EGR but he only knew about the Darkside Developments remap.
