    2016 180PS Bi-TDi CFCA engine failure

Facebook group? I tried to join earlier this year and never got accepted. Last time I looked I couldn’t find the group. Have you spoken to Retro Resus between Bridgwater and Taunton. Very experienced in CFCA engines I believe. Very helpful when I called them.

The old EGR and DPF chestnut

Def a DPF issue I had the same on my old 5.1 Sportline until I blocked and deleted EGR, removed DPF and fitted Milltek exhaust. The van then ran smoke free but still drank oil CFCA + DPF + EGR = White smoke + Drinking oil . Thanks VW for such a crap engine!

    180 dsg 4 motion issues

I did not know that, is that the better option then if you have a start/stop engine on a 180 CFCA engine with a C cooler.

    Hello from Scotland

...BiTdi 180. All my research I somehow never came across the EGR issues until last night. Went a bit of a deep dive and found out I do have the CFCA engine but unsure of the EGR revision yet. Fingers crossed I get a good one and I will take steps to prevent/ repair anyway. I'm very handy on the...

    2016 180PS Bi-TDi CFCA engine failure

...not happy to look at it with the tafmet fitted, one even said it could be the cause of the error. I’ve driven 60 miles since clearing the error and it’s not yet come back, but we have a road trip planned next week to Italy and all of a sudden I’m deeply regretting buying a van with a CFCA engine

    - 204ps Bi-Turbo CXEB T6 Engine & Turbo problems -

I took the punt on the 2020 model. The odd thing is, it was advertised as a 199 but think it’s a 204. But then, it’s listed as a six seater on the V5 and it’s actually a factory 5 seater so mistakes seem common. My 2017 204 was trouble free for 18m so I can only hope the next will be the same...

    Oil Temperature

Nice to know its not just me! I always thought it would be nice if they had a dial for oil temp along with the water temp on the dash.

    EGR connect

OK, I was just wondering if it was a CFCA with a Tafmet kit, it isn’t. As far as I’m aware there is no way to disable the EGR without a software modification and possibly some EGR pipe blanking plates as the valve will almost certainly be leaking. You will probably need to track down the...

    2016 180PS Bi-TDi CFCA engine failure

There is no need for 4 plates, 2 is sufficient unless the pipes crack which doesn’t appear to be an issue on a CFCA.

ACC & City Braking - How Its Done -

I explained the needed Patch to get the Buttons working with CFCA here: Retrofitting of Cruise Control by MFS on Polo 6R, T5, T6 - Page 6 - UK-POLOS.NET - THE VW Polo Forum But for ACC more is needed, like Longcoding Table Patching and Can Rx and Tx table patching. I am working on a Script to do...

    Tools for oil change

I use a vacuum pump (manual amazon job), then plug out and drain the last 0.5-1.0L. Mines a CFCA, filter element is close to the induction manifold and easy to damage without a cup wrench that fits over the filter. Dubious quality with some of these tools, can slip, fixed with pop marks inside...
