I can only offer my opinion, which is not that of an expert.
If the warning isn't showing when you start the van up I'd continue with the planned journey, as the level is only slightly high on the dipstick.
The "least bad" alternative is probably to buy some spanners or sockets and drain a...
Please make another screenshot of cold engine ticking over.
The captured maximum differential pressure (978 hPa) across the DPF is quite high - even at full blast!

Did anyone ever find an explanation for the highlevels of soot ?
Did anyone inspect the EGR ?
Just had my oil analysis back from Milner, shows soot level is at 2%, oil is on 7800 miles.
Reason for doing the analysis is, I think it may be burning a touch of oil
I’ve just done an oil change...
Yet another concerned CFCA-engined Transporter owner here :/
My engine isn't using oil at a particularly alarming rate (topped up with half a litre after 8k miles last time), but I was concerned enough about the reputation of this engine to get an oil analysis done when it was recently...
Probably the constant attempts to regen have led to the oil dilution. I'd get the DPF replaced, oil changed and see how it goes from there Revo maps have a decent reputation, so I'd leave that be until you've had the other work done and run it.
The amber oil 'too high' warning light has recently happened to me. Having travelled around 60 miles on A1 it appeared on the dash.
Checked level when cool the next day and it was perfect Max.
It appeared again around 3 days later having travelled around 60 miles home on the A1.
Van only...
Well TBF I agree Sasquatch, specifically with the term 'excessive'. Although (sorry..certainly no offence) I perhaps don't advocate taking a big slug of oil out so that the oil is halfway down the dipstick (certainly on my own van, or any of my vehicles). As an engineer, having worked on my own...
Oillevel low/high visit dealer my T6.1 just developed this issue i know its fine and its a fault with sensor or something are the dealers able to rectify now ??
The EGR system is feeding carbon back through the engine, add the high boost pressure from a bi-turbo engine and some of the carbon is bound to be forced past the compression rings and into the oil control rings. Once the oil control rings are fouled and no longer free to move it’s game over...
This sounds really similar with what I experienced today.
In 30 -33 degrees of heat, all temps getting very hot, at altitude, at around 1500m above sea level up a dual carriageway across the Swiss Alps - Albeit towing a 2 ton load caravan.
Van is a 2022 T6.1 199 (Although VW seem unsure if it...
Morning All and thanks for accepting me in to this forum, new the VW world, i have a T28 2021 (T6.1 i think) and am after a little advice if no one minds. I appear to be in the same boat as Burnsy79, I get the random oil over pressure light coming on, seems to pop up around the 2 hour drive mark...
The EGR is re-circulating exhaust gases containing soot which in turn lower the combustion temperature creating more soot. When the EGR valve eventually gets seized open it will pass re-circulate exhaust gases whether the ECU calls of it or not.
High boost pressure push blow-by gases past the...

Yes, correct. However, you should check their response to the oil pump PWM signal duty cycle - e.g. picture 4 in post#1 - by quickly flooring the throttle...
It can go about 150-200 miles to reach 24g for regen, soot seems to collect around 0.1g every couple of minutes urban (very roughly) and slower on motorway.
Engine seems OK, starts and runs fine. Actually its a brand new engine installed about 12k miles ago by previous owner (as well as clutch...
The Mrs has been to our local VW dealership this morning to get a new key coded that we ordered in a few weeks ago, he has told her the oillevel is too high in the van and that this is as bad as driving round with not enough oil in.
We have not had any warning signs on the dash board or...
I've had my 22 plate T6.1 campervan since April, bought from the convertors with only a few miles on it. It has now done 6000 mies, and the oillevel warning came on today, while driving round the North of Scotland (why is it always there when things happen?). The oillevel is not high, so is it...
The oillevel warning dd not alarm on starting this morning, and I made it two thirds of the way home before it occurred again. It seems random, but will get it checked,
