We are off to…… I don’t actually know…. Somewhere in Europe… next weekend. My T6 4motion normally wears 235/65/17 General Grabber AT3 because they look cool and the council owned country parks round here have some pretty extreme terrain . But the spare is a 215/60/17. If I got a puncher and put...
Yours appears to be very similar to my spec actually. A couple of disappointments compared with my 2019 van-
- no electric sliding doors or boot- was this not on the 2018 model? Retrofit looks pricey!!
- no ACC- again, not standard on 2018? Retrofit looks reasonable?
235/65's should be completely fine, I think they're fine even down to 40/50mm lowered.
You've got the same wheels as me, 17" Cascavel so presumably 235/55 tyres, with 235/65 tyres you'll gain about 20-25mm ride height, but you're already lower by 20mm (probably more) than a std van which is...
I haven't got spacers but was told that 10mm would be best for my set up to ensure it definitely doesn't clash with the sliding door. I'll be getting it done but not for a while, just trying to recover from the recent mechanical expenses!
I can highly recommend them as a company great service, they even changed my delivery address to the dealer for me wheels came with full set of bolts and lockers even sent me a spare set as I ordered five wheels. The wheels are great been on five months now no issues.
Navis Mac AT 17’ alloys fitted with Falken Wildpeak at3 tyres 235/65/17
Satin black
only a few months old with less than 1500 miles on them
I had these ceramic coated from new so loads easier to keep clean
As new condition
still on the van at the moment but should have my replacement wheels...
Iv got 2356517 GG AT3 and I’m reading 3 mph under on the dash at 70mph.
Also have 25mm lift spacers, fitted by CRS, with Koni adaptive shocks, and kept the original T32 springs, drives lovely.
Well, went for the Black Rhino Warlords with 235/65/17 wildpeaks, looks great, road noise very acceptable and handling noticeably better than 275/40/r20s so thanks for all of the input.
As above. I ran 215/60/17 on my Devonports (standard size) and also ran 235/55/17 which are almost identical circumference etc. without issue.
I currently have 236/65/17 which is a popular AT tyre size. It is bigger so it looks the part and is certainly more comfortable. While it does affect...
I don’t have your front end but do have an aftermarket front with lip , lowered on ST-X Coilovers (CRS) with 17” Black Rhino and 235/65/17 Wildpeak AT tyres.
No issues so far anywhere with access although obviously not green laning off-road but happy with forestry type car parks (non tar mac...
I am about to do a 18 hour drive across Europe in 2 stints. Leg one non stop Calais to Zurich with an overnight stop then another non stop down the Adriatic coast.
I have a LWB shuttle and it will be running very heavy up near the limit of its 3.2 capacity.
The Falken wildpeaks say don't...
@Paynewright
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I will be looking to pick up a ser of these wheels (not banded) and fit 235/65/17 for a lowered swamper look.
I have found some rough oness locally that I would like to media blast back to bare metal and powder coat bronze.
Just wanted to...
Great journey down. The 235/65/17 A/T tyres are brilliant! I couldn’t notice any difference on road noise, but they give a far more compliant ride quality. They soak up our potholed roads perfectly! I found they gripped well on the dry roads, and never stepped out or understeered on the wet...
Don’t know what it is with the Kato’s but I think they are the best 17” wheel out there.
I am biased, but they just look the part.
I ended up with some Michelin Agilis Climate Controls. 235/60r17. Load rated at 117.
Will post pics in a month once I’m swapped out the current 18” Conti Winter...
