So a complete change of plan for the van now….sold the Kombi bed and now currently building a sliding one. 190x760 when stored so small single. Need to cut ply cladding now, cut the doors into it for storage and then paint. Fairly happy with it so far.

Hi Nick, How did you go on with the conversion? I have a Kombi with a bench seat, and looking at a rear load storage for a Kart. My van already has aready been lined, but wanting to do the same as you, drop the seats and have a board go over to rest the kart on.

In my Kombi I've got a black plastic, heavy duty storage box (from B&Q) up against the back of the rear seat, bunjeed to the tie down points. I've got all those bits plus a tow rope, straps, jump leads, tow bar, yellow jacket etc. I was loathed to put anything in the boot but at least in a box...
