The 180bhp engine has a reputation for reliability issues. So the garage are advising you correctly. If it’s smoking you will be clogging the dpf, depending upon how much oil it’s using.
if it’s a keeper, you will be replacing the engine and whatever is not re-useable. Hopefully it’s not really...

If the weather is that bad £180 is a small price to pay compared to damaging your van
I've just cancelled going away tomorrow due to high winds so lost £50 not £4500 for a new pop top
...may be able to drain it to 20% capacity, so about 1kWh. In theory that could run a 1kW heater for 1 hour. Topping up with solar won't help - a 180 W panel is unlikely to give you close to 180 W for long periods, it definitely will not run a heater and it is unlikely to be that sunny when...
EGR map out and block on an old BiTDI 180 and now anew engine and turbo's for 7k miles with no issues. EGR work shouldnt be noticed in an MOT. When the DPF needs replacing that will go and be mapped out.
...Wheels, removed from 2022 plate vans due to customers upgrading to alloys, will fit T5 onwards T28 and T30 variants, as new from the factory, £180 per set of 4, I have 2 sets available, save your alloys for the summer ;) collection from Syston Leicestershire

...your dealer sell you the part, when i enquired they told me it was only available as an option on a new van. The glazed bulkhead on the brochure is about £180....... but they were willing to sell me an aftermarket Motexion bulkhead for £500. They don't call them 'main stealers' for nothing.
Ovano table, not fitted for long so no marks on it. I’ve now put caravelle rails and seats in so don’t need this anymore. Was fitted to passenger side.
Would prefer collection from Cumbria just so I don’t have to pack it all up and post.
£180
Thanks
My mate has had a 10 plate T5.1 from new. 180 Bi Turbo. Only issue he’s had is the old (now updated) EGR. That’s was replaced years ago!
He travels back and forth from he’s 2nd home in Wales and is still fine. Out of the 1000’s built you’ll only hear about ones that go wrong.
Yes, I’ve cleaned a 102 unit, cooler rammed solid with carbon and valve seized, same as 150ps
180ps EGR is a different problem again - internal corrosion.
204ps EGR seems to be a trend for coolant leakage.
For reference my 6.1 regenerates around every 180-200 miles (about 70% dual carriageway 30% local)
28 hours seems implausible on the face of it as this thread has been going on longer than that - I can only assume that's the last time the conditions for a regen were met but it was not attempted...

If you're going for a gen4 Roamer you also don't need a shunt and can just connect the battery directly to the Cerbo GX. The Cerbo is about £180.
For sale - Genuine VW rubber rear floor mat plus the fixings. In good condition, just taken out of our 2023 T6.1 LBW has just the one cut for the single sliding door.
Collection only please from Hertfordshire. Looking for £180.
Hi, yes the official torque setting is/was 50Nm plus 90deg. This is what I set mine at last year and I assume most others on here did as well, very interesting.
Does this mean we are all running around with under torqued tensioners, concerning !
Anybody thinking we should re torque to 180degrees ?
Again, I suspect it'd be down to reasonableness - anyone would at least suspect if their van had been re-mapped from 100 to 200 PS, whereas some may be completely oblivious of a 150 to 180 PS re-map.
I am thinking on a t6 dsg 4motion camper next year to replace my ace t5.1 new engined CFCA 180 dsg 4motion Caravelle.
I must admit I cant wait to have adblue added to the pile of crap added to my chores and worries. Maybe I will get the lot mapped out etc right from the start?

@mmi - Sorry to resurrect an old thread, just wanted to double check that its 180ohm not 180K ohm.
The image looks like its 180K only asking as I'm about to wiring up an internal switch.
Is the % suppose to zero out after a regen? Mine drops to 30%?
I see a regen around every 150-180 miles, hopefully CarPlay with make this a nice habit to get into checking.
