...tub on the passenger seat, held in place by the seatbelt. The tub is a wonderful "chucking place" for all manner of bits & bobs, and the disklok slips between the tub & the seat back. Without finding a cupboard for it, this has turned out to be the most stable place for it to live whilst in...
...golden.
The standard immobiliser is Thatcham II standard so decent enough if youre careful with the security of your keys. Get yourself a Disklok and you're about as safe as it's possible to be without hiring Chuck Norris to sleep in the van overnight.
Edit - and the alarm itself is...
I’ve got a Ghost and a Disklok.
The Disklok is there as a visual deterrent, the Ghost will stop a thief stealing the van but it won’t stop them damaging it getting in. I figured if they see the Disklok it may stop them breaking into the van in the first place.
I'll also be collecting a T6.1 Hillside Birchover soon and since my insurance cover is conditional on having a Thatcham certified tracker fitted, I'm also looking at vehicle security devices. Having seen too many shoddy installations in Porsches and BMWs in the past, my biggest concern is having...
I hate directly disagreeing with anyone, sorry @mopardave, but I find the Disklok the quickest, simplest, easiest thing to use. Mine is silver but just as much a visual deterrent as the bright yellow version!
Been using one for years and reckon it takes less than 30 seconds to pick it up off...
Hi @EdH ...can’t help T6 only....but as a thought...the Disklok look good but very bulky to store for that reason I use Stoplock...still visual but easy to fit and store. And not sized so universal and halve the price ;)
Hi all, I have been offered a Large Disklok in yellow colour for a really good price (local FB selling site) but it's in Large size. Our T6.1 Highline is still in production/conversion, and I can't measure the diameter. Given the current shortage of the Diskloks it would be shame to miss it...
I made a storage unit for between the front seats.......it's on here somewhere..........I'd be lost without it but it's not suitable for steering wheel "death star". I too tend to be the only occupant but I wanted my seats to still swivel with the storage box in place. You've got me thinking...
Our T6 camper is down at the storage yard at the moment. It has a wheel clamp, Disklok and pedal lock on it - about £450 all in.
If it is on our drive over night then it has the same 3 fitted.
If we go away, then we take the disklok and the pedal lock - they are a bit clunky, but are a very...
I have a Ghost but I also use a Disklok.
A Ghost will stop them driving the van away but it won’t stop them damaging the van breaking in.
That’s my reason for the Disklok, hopefully they see it before they do any damage to the van.
Same with the pedal lock, they won’t come across that until...
Hi All,
I join Team Ravenna Blue next Wednesday and want to know the diameter of the T6.1 steering wheel so I can get a disklok. Anyone kind enough to know or measure their for me please?
