...little I can hear it cut in around 1800rpm - is this a characteristic anyway?
I’m interested, what’s the average life of these Turbos? Mines exRAC with 125k on.
Is there an upgraded or better alternative if it went? Or someone recommended who could rebuild it.
Eventually like to remap...
Thank you for this "How To" it was a great help. I needed to replace the drivers door lock on my 2018 exRAC T6 LWB and took the opportunity to sound deaden and insulate the doors of my T6 this weekend.
Only issues were:
1: Regardless of being very careful either both rivet connectors between...
Does anyone still have an EXRAC T6 with secondary battery wired up? I stupidly removed the battery and RAC wiring without taking a picture first. Now I have a number of issues that could possibly be related. No connection to NOX sensor, No connection to particular filter and no rear lights...
Im struggling with the orange but weirdly enough everyone else seems to love it. I don't get it maybe it's just me.
I do worry though that changing the colour might be a mistake as if it's not 100% perfect I'll be well pissed off and Im super critical.
My sprayer is good but i'm a little...
I'm about to replace the rear springs and shocks on my exRAC T6 T32 that has done around 140k. I need to buy the rear spring rubbers and just wanted to know if it's worth buying uprated ones? I'm fitting standard springs and shocks.
I have an exRAC van, here’s my thread on it:
https://www.t6forum.com/threads/swapping-from-oem-2nd-battery-to-dc-dc-what-to-do-with-the-relay.42146/post-568485
Basically I removed the relay etc and ran a new wire from the starter battery to the rear of the van as that was where I located the...
Two questions please.
Where does the electrics run from the tow bar socket? I can see it goes into bumper. Does it then join the original loom and run up to the relay under the passenger seat?
Is it possible to have a passenger double seat swivel whilst maintaining tow bar electrics?
For an early 65/66 EU6 you're looking at 100k+ mileage at that price, maybe a bit less if you go private.
Ex AA/RAC could be good if you don't mind or even like that colour.
Mine has 110,000 on the clock. It's on the lower side of the ones I have looked at.
Yeah, they can easily become a money pit but such good, versatile vehicles.
That's why I decided to join the forum. Lots of the Google searches I did on fitting windows, adding cruise control etc led me here...
Hi all,
I'm very new to the T6 (picking up my ex-RAC van today).
I'm looking to convert this onto a kombi with 2 seats in the back with my dog crate (mimsafe variocage large), but I'm not sure on what configuration to go for. I'm reasonably sure that this will work with a single seat either...
possible option is vehicle auctions - I’ve bought (not the van) from Aston Barclay before much cheaper than I could from a forecourt. Bought it without seeing it and it flew through the MOT no advisories.
You can sign up to Aston Barclay and BCA auctions Without cost, and I’m pretty sure they...
Before anyone says anything I know this has been raised before, but there seems to be a lot of counter information.
I recently bought a VW T6 exRAC. This has a MFSW non cruise control. I would like to upgrade the steering wheel and add the cruise control later on.
I have purchased a VW Golf...
Looks fab! If I had the time I'd love an exRAC van to convert. Orange is my favourite colour, my first kitchen was orange and white opposite walls, and had a wonderful glow to it!
Hi all
I have an exRAC 2017 T6 that came with a list of all the service and repairs. I can see a service at May 2023 but it’s not specific.
I’m at 134k miles.
The dash is showing Oil Service and Inspection 12700 due in 20 odd days.
What do I need to book it in for? I’d assume VW would...
I managed to get it on my 2016 exRAC startline - although it has the business spec with a MFSW not sure if that makes a difference! It had the needle sweep set already!
I’ve always used cheap, reconditioned exchange CVJs on my banger of an A4. Most of the time they last, occasionally the regrind may have been pushed too far and they don’t. Hopefully with a exRAC van you have some detailed maintenance history.
