    Any custom made kitchens Derbys/Sheffield?

Looking for a slimline low level kitchen for my T6.1 swb. I have a fabworx sliding rail bed and have approx. 300mm from the bottom which is narrower than the flat packs I’ve seen available. Just wondered if there’s any cabinet makers local to Chesterfield?

    Van Furniture Self Build Advice

Received my flat pack U-Shape furniture today from Van Furniture. Does anyone have any advice or tips from when they have done it themselves?

    Newb

Welcome along. I think most flat pack units are quite similar in terms of quality. I opted for Buffalo board when buying my U-shape layout from Van Furniture. Quality seemed OK but instructions are a bit rubbish and customer service could be improved

    Caravelle ceiling mounting points

...a bolt whose head will go through the larger hole and the shaft will slide down into the slot from your bits box. I found that some plastic flat pack furniture connecting bolts worked very well when I temporarily needed to mount some lights in mine on a small block of wood. Similar to these...

For Sale Infinity Customs Kombi Bed

I’m interested in this but I’m way too far away to collect. I guess it packs flat so if you could pack it up and I arrange a courier would that work for you?

Keys in the Ignition - Audio Runtime

best get yourself a jump-pack, for when you do run your battery flat - which you will do. have a look here: https://www.t6forum.com/threads/which-jump-starter.9140/ . FYI you can extend your run time by having a leisure battery fitted and using that to power your kit.

Our T6.1 Ascot Grey panel van conversion to campervan

We fitted the kitchen units ourselves, van furniture is flat packed but straight forward. Our friends have a conversion shop so was handy to help us with some bits...what part of England are you in?

    Diesel heater & Leisure Battery

The proper way to do it, is to fit a leisure battery. A cheap AGM plus split charge relay will work. Or upgrade to a lithium with dc-dc and be done with it.... That's the best option. Running off the EF D2 reliably is a problem as the 12v output is regulated 12v@8A and will cause you issues on...

PWM motor controller replacement for resistor pack

I've been testing a PWM motor controller to replace my resistor pack and I'm pretty bloody happy with it. So much more efficient! Now I just have to figure out where to stick it. I gets quite hot running flat stick (not on low like the resistor solution), so I was thinking of trying to fit it in...

Power Sliding doors & a RIB

Yes it can be done, but it is tight. But this was done with ourselves building the units from scratch so we could tweak the depth accordingly. If buying a flat-packed units then adjustments will be needed. But I'm not sure if anyone offers a flat-pack kit for a twin side loader ( you have just...

    What Have You Bought Today?

Been to Ikea for some flat pack for home and picked up these bits for the van. Couple of tumblers, some cooking utensils and a funnel The funnel seems random but when we hired a van (before we got our own) we made mulled wine in a saucepan and a funnel would have helped reduce some of the...

    Which Jump Starter?

The boost / jump packs would normally be connected to a vehicle just to jump start a flat battery. That would imply that a EHU charger wouldn't be connected....?

    Three Bridge Campers.

Their curved cabinetry was just one of the styles they built (and I do mean built - they didn't buy-in flat-pack crap like a lot of converters do) and their build quality was head & shoulders better than most on the market. So, I guess you pays your money and choose your definition of what...

    Caravelle ceiling mounting points

That is really useful information, thank you very much! I thought as much and I was thinking of using something like https://www.accu.co.uk/joint-connector-barrel-nuts/649096-HJCBN-M8-12-ZP but I preferred plastic in case metal might damage the plastic of the mount.

    van Parking Lights..

Just sharing a tip, if like us you throw some of your excess baggage onto the drivers seat when camping in the van, just be mindful you don’t accidentally, unknowingly knock the stalk activating the parking lights, like we did, not sure how long they were on, definitely all night, probably a lot...

Solar for Keeping the Battery Topped Up

Wouldn’t it be better to keep the battery topped up rather than it possibly getting damaged by letting it get so flat it needs a jump? Not sure what voltage the van won’t start at.
