Bertie as we call him a 2016 102remapped has 26k miles. I hardly use him but when I do we all enjoy him.
Would I sell him. Too right for the right price.
The Mrs will kill me. The kids will ensure I am dead. But for just a little while and I mean a little I would have some cash in my pocket...
This is good to know, my 2019 High line is great other than the fact that there is very little response when you put your foot down at 60mph and upwards. I though I could live with it but I’m finding it more and more frustrating. I’ve been holding off having a remap mostly due too the weak 5...
I had my 2019 Highline 102remapped at TH Performance in Havant who are a Pendle Agent.
All kept within reasonable tolerances, for the above mentioned reasons. Now at 155.5bhp (the .5 counts ) and 313Nm Torque. With the delivery of that torque at the correct intervals.
Not massive...
Are we talking euro 5 102? If so The 102 is the 140 but de-tuned and with a 5 speed box. The maps for this take into account the gearbox and run less torque. There are two map settings at 140 or 180 ps. And yes very much worth it. Will transform the engine. If it’s the euro 6 it can’t be mapped.
Hi, looking at getting my T6 102remapped. There are 2 company's in Inverness that do it Revo and Eco Power Tuning. Revo wont do the 102 as they have had turbos failing. Do VW use different turbos for their other engines.
Thanks
Yes it is the euro 5 102 manual.
All stock in the engine department although I had cruise control fitted. Not sure the van is on the latest VW flash as it has generally been serviced at independent garages for the last three years. Would flashing it to latest software (as I understand it this is...
My old T5 was a 102 ps and 5 speed. Had it for 13 years.
I originally remapped it to 140 and it drove fine.
Sat on the motorway at 80mm fine.
I once drove from Rochester in Kent to Holland then Belgium and got home and still had a weeks fuel left in it as it was so good on fuel.
The engine...
Pretty sure the T32 needs a different MOT. (Class 7) No difference in cost but only certain MOT stations are approved for this type of MOT.
I have a T28 and 102 BHP, it's easily fast enough and personally I wouldn't bother with a remap. If you need the extra carrying capacity then it is very...
Going from 102 to 170hp should surely make it more responsive, if you can't feel the difference you should ask why.
Who did the remap?
Lots of threads on here about potential problems caused by remapping the 102, some reputable companies understand the problems and remap accordingly.
Oh and...
You need to decide on your budget. Mines a 204 with Pendle remap - does bring a smile and enjoyable to drive. I’ve had 102‘s and 150’s before and remapped them all. They’re not race cars but more power makes things ‘easier’. As for fuel consumption, I don’t know.
Hi, is there anyone on here that lives in Jersey that has had their engine remapped on-island? I have read a decent bit on problems for the gearbox on a 5 speed 102 after being remapped...obviously because of the current situation it is not possible for me to get to the mainland for a Pendle...
Just had a remap on my 102 t6 2018 over weekend and I've noticed the engine is a bit noisier.. like a whooshing or a shhhhhhh when driving.. is this normal. It's a constant noise so not just when boosting
