    Kombi Storage ideas

Hi, Absolutely loving the new Van in my life, but I have a couple of niggles I’m still figuring out the best way to address. One of these is storage, especially for the second row of seats, I have twin sliding doors so I can’t attach anything to them and for the kids, particularly on a long...

    Sold OVANO XL SWB £1000

GLWS. That's a very good price, I suspect that won't hang along for long. I'm in the process of making my own kombi bed/storage system, and the hex ply, drawer runners and fixings are approaching that price.

    Quirky/different fit outs.

Aluminium profile is brilliant stuff. Not cheap, but easy to work with, and strong. I've made my bed out of 30mm stuff. A table mitre saw is perfect for cutting this, just get a high tooth count blade. And be prepared for a lot of aluminium shavings, it gets everywhere!!

    Quirky/different fit outs.

Hi back Chris! You’re most welcome and thank you so much for the info. I, like probably many others on the forum, didn’t realise aluminium extrusions and fittings were a ‘thing’ available to us. We currently use the IKEA Hammarn steel tubular sofa bed. This just about serves the purpose...

    Kombi Passenger Mods

There is an OEM shelf that you can get that attaches to the head rest posts on the front seats. You can remove it and leave the seat post connection in place plus it folds outs and can be folded flat. Super handy and has a cup holder.

The Sandwich Van. My T6 project

Well I finally managed to make a start on the winter changes. the plan is to go for a full camper conversion this winter. I found the lack of space in front of the kombi seats a little awkward so I've gone for a cali bed on rails. I'm torn between keeping the units at the back low so i can...

    What Have You Bought Today?

The Kombi bench 'throw' is a no-go. Because it is designed as a picnic blanket and has a shiny backing to stop moisture (which is pretty good if you want to use as a blanket) every time you sit on it it slides about all over the place  Being removed as a 'throw' and I seem to have...
