Two decades ago when we had three children and a dog I made do with various big cars, which were inevitably not big enough.
Buying a T6 is definitely a good idea, I wish I'd had one years ago.
I'm not able to add anything to the other comments in terms of specific vans, but if you buy wisely...
...plan to go that route.
The DS300 is not meant to go with a smart alternator, although it does work to a fashion. Some converters (e.g. CamperKing) use the CBE kit but also fit a DC/DC charger that is hidden away behind the CBE kit. There is at least one thread about this on here. If...
Well if anybody was a considering using CamperKing……
Looks like pretty sub-standard build and design and they’re not cheap.
This photo caught my eye, WTF is this?
Just took delivery of my new T6.1 4Motion with a Frontline Camper conversion and looking at options for a 50mm lift kit around Brisbane area. Wondered if anyone has experience with the King Springs and Bilstein shocks option. I wonder about ride quality etc. Just want a little peace of mind for...
...IIRC), but they do offer other, non-curved designs if you're looking to avoid curves.
You won't be surprised to hear that @ThreeBridgeT6 has a Three Bridge conversion. He may be able to offer some feedback on his experiences.
EDIT: As per @DXX, I haven't heard brilliant feedback re CamperKing.
You could look at camperking near Banbury for ideas they do various layouts but I suspect from what your asking you want a sliding bed/seat) so might be better off speaking to a company that will build you exactly what you want. Other than camperking the only company I can think of that holds...
...they drive better with some weight in’em.
3, day van or camper. 2 completely different beasts, a day van will allow you to sleep in it, but it’s not a camper. A camper can carry 6 people at a push, but it’s not a day van. Decide which you need & go from there.
Ps, search the forum for...
...in a few though. What I liked was there was no hard sell or pushiness and we were allowed to sit in and look at as many as we wanted. There must be about 20 vans on site for purchase, most of which are “CamperKing” conversions, which seem to be of decent enough quality and come with a warranty.
Totally agree about the fly screens...
CamperKing told me they source from poptoproofs.co.uk
I contacted the roof supplier a while back to enquire about pricing for replacement tent fabric with flyscreen and a high-lift scissor jack etc., but have not had a reply yet so this reminds me to...
...grand van.
Like the look of the Autohaus seen on site & Cambridge Campers look nice but not sure until I phone them. Got very good reviews for customer service, thought I read somewhere camperKing are the converters?
Only ask as I'm 4 hours away from them
Thanks as always for any replies...
Just not getting the use out of it that we thought we would so we’re letting our lovely van go. Thought I’d see if there’s any interest on here before I put it on Autotrader.
Van is 2019 VW T30 Highline. 150PS 6 Speed Manual. Excellent Condition. White with Metallic Chilli Red bottom half –...
Hi everyone,
I have a 2019 VW T6 with Camperking Le Mans conversion. After taking it for a habitation service locally today, I've discovered that the leisure battery cannot be removed from its compartment underneath the cupboards (the access hole is too small).
I just wondered if anyone else...
Hi Andy it’s Chris a fellow camperking owner, it seem like I am following your upgrades and know after sound proofing the doors I am looking to fit some speaker. I did notice a big difference this makes to the sound even with the standard set-up. Is this worth 300 pounds.
Hi - I know the post is now from sometime ago however having the same issues as you. Seems Camperking will only charge to get the Leisure battery removed and not advise anymore. Would love to know how I get access to it as I need to reconfigure the solar controller ( and need the battery info)...
I took have a 2017 Shuttle SE.
I kept the car as much original as possible hoping not to put off anyone who buys it off me when I change it.
I didn't want to pay the Van King prices so built myself a plywood shelf in the rear and use an IKEA 4 inch futon mattress over the shelf and rear seat...
The time has come to sell our T6 Camper!
Converted in 2017 by Welsh Coast Campers, we bought direct from them so are the only owners since conversion. The van was 1 owner prior to that.
Original van was 105 Startline, currently 49k with full service history, last service at 45k, belt and water...
