Whilst they are no worst (or better) than others. A few things to look at would be what tyres are fitted ? They tend to put on cheap ones. The suspension also, check if it’s front high (due to being left std.). Also look carefully and any paintwork on spoilers etc. The quality may be poor...

Secondly rear Suspension - I can see that T32 rear springs are often recommended for improving the situation on a T28camper, so am inclined to try that, although I do have some questions, which I'll come to in a bit. I'm not sure that there is really a technical...
My T28 PV to Camper conversion has a towbar with e-bike and a road bike.....did 1000 miles around France last summer. Yes, there is bit of arse sag but it handles fine and we don't go fast and fling it in to corners. Currently, my money will be spent elsewhere....
Hi all and thanks in advance for any comments/info! I was hoping someone could give me an idea of if we've nailed the core components of the electrical system for what we want it for, and give me a ballpark idea of paying to have it fitted, so I can decide whether to do that or to do some/all...
No idea if they fit them still, got my local garage on the case, both my rear shock absorbers gave up so thought it would be the ideal excuse to try these....im hoping for a little improvement but on potholes etc im expecting the same
Hi,
It would be great to get some thoughts on whether this van is good value for money. I have been to see it and have driven it, everything seems in good working order and the conversion looks great quality. I am just questioning the mileage and age of the van. Also how important do you think...
Definitely top up your Adblu to check that it recalibrates as ours was showing 2500 miles range which went to a 650 mile countdown and orange spanner sign midway to Isle de Rey.
This was on top of what turned out to be a cam position sensor fault that had come on as we left our first stop in...
A huge change of family circumstances means we need to sell our 2017 petrol transporter. We have used it as a campervan. It has a slidepod in the rear, captains chairs, aircon, lithium battery, hookup under bonnet, LED interior lights. The advert on autotrader is here...
When I decided to buy our camper in 2019 I tried to look at the same calculations as you.
I started with
Van running costs=
48p per mile (all in seemed hopeful), so I budgeted as follows:-
£1.00 per mile depreciation, which would bring the value to zero over 8 years.
£0.50 per mile running...
I wouldn't run 275/40/20 at all, generally too big and too much above the standard OEM radius/circumference. If you had a T28/T30 running a 255/40 Front and 265/40 Rear on a square 9" set up is very nice and allows the van gearing to behave normally. There's a good chance the 275/40's will rub...
This is all too common , Suppliers who dont know the limitations of the products they sell. "One kit fits all" works for socks not for Campers for sure
Happy to talk you throught some common sense options , we have the biggest range of solutions and over 4500 vans under...
Great info on this forum :).
Currently living in West London for a few years (due to work, not choice ;)) and I think we're finally going to take the plunge and get a V6/6.1.
Our plan is to replace our car and have the Van as the daily driver, we want to just find somewhere during the week...
