    Tyre Pressures 255/45/18

The top tyre pressure plate is from my T28. Max axle weights are front 1600kg and rear 1550kg with max mass of 2800kg. On the weigh bridge the unloaded van (full camper conversion) weighs 1280kg front and 1000kg rear, so slightly higher pressure in the front makes sense. Loaded up the weight...

    Low mile range

We generally get 600 miles to a tank. It’s a T28 102 E5 camper conversion. That said we don’t use it as a daily driver, so hardly ever do short trips.

    Which to choose? Can’t decide!

I have to agree - low mileage, DSG and Highline spec is a must as a base. And I would have to bow to others about the weight but it makes sense a T30 is probably the lowest I would go when thinking about all the furniture, stuff, people and suitcases in a campervan. So none of them

I think I've made a mistake with the van I'm about to buy - remap

All of the above from @CJW and @Bigsidavies plus if you are thinking of a camper conversion in the future then a T28 will probably will not be suitable due to the weight of everything you install. Air con is a must!

Hi I'm Solow Suspension, here to help.

Hi Andy, van looks great. I'm curious though, are you saying you're at full height ? What tyres are you running, 255/35 ? I have mine (T5.1 T28 camper) at nearly full height and its not that low

Hi I'm Solow Suspension, here to help.

Solows will work, air will give you more options in terms of controllable height adjustment if your budget allows.

    Electric conversion help wanted

I have a 2019 T28 that is currently being converted and I am looking at doing my own electric 12/240 conversion. Has anyone used this company on eBay 'camper build solutions'? They have quoted me £610 for a fully pre-wired kit (excluding battery but it does include DC to DC alternator) Is that...

    Acquiring a camper - Eu5 5spd or Eu6 6spd??

T28 5 speed is really woefull with a full camper conversion. They are a cheaper base van of choice for conversion companies. With a full conversion on a T28, they will be near the gross vehicle weight

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Swapped in a rear T32 ARB onto my T28 Camper. Nice OEM upgrade, and “free” as they came off my Sportline when I fitted H&R’s. Front soon when uprated droplinks arrive.

New prospective T6 owner seeking advice!

In a nutshell, yes. Most things can be retrofitted but look for a van with Air Con, to retrofit that is in excess of £2k. The T28/30/32 references load ratings, 2800/3000/3200kgs, the latter having heavier duty springs and bigger brakes. It certainly is a minefield, just keep asking questions...
