Hi all,
As some of you know my windscreen needs to be replaced after a stone chip on the way to Camperjam.
Anyway the insurance is offering an aftermarket replacement or I can pay £700 for an OEM replacement…
Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with aftermarket glass??
Cheers
CZ.
...my t6 from my front wiper, on the drivers side. It seems to be when the wipers change direction to do back down towards the bottom of the windscreen. It's been there since I've had the van but only noticing it more recently as I've had my van back from the repairers after a smash back in...
What is happening in your part of the World Dracula’s bats trying to get in through your windscreen or something. Touch wood never lost a screen yet and hoping.
Hi all - due to an upcoming vehicle change I am selling my Rainbow Screen windscreen and rear screen (tailgate) covers for our T6.1. Both are plain (no logo) and in maroon as per the photos. Both in excellent condition and come with the storage bags provided by Rainbow (I tend to put them both...
Hi. Anyone encountered this issue . Windscreen has been scratched by the the wiper blade brackets on my t6.1 ? The bracket either end and in the middle was touching windscreen and making a slight rash. Went and bought new wipers and is the same with new ? As the wiper changes direction the...
If you use the van for camping then it's a diesel heater every time.
A heated windscreen will never keep you warm at night!
And as someone else says above, how many mornings will you have to scrape the windscreen in a morning as our climate warms up?
Further to my recent post - windscreen insurance claim - I've booked through my insurers to have a new screen fitted next week, but have just noticed that the pop top roof has a rubber deflector strip bonded half to the screen and half to the metalwork above.
Anyone have experience of removing...
Hi Folks,

Having spent 8 hours on the road yesterday in dry>drizzle>rain conditions I was getting thoroughly annoyed with the wipers on the van. They judder and shudder as they drag across the screen and thump when they change direction...
I believed in the 6.1 it was 40A a side, but I may have been looking at the relay rating and not the fuses.
The many fine wires in a front windscreen take a lot more current than the thicker surface mounted resistance tracks on the traditional rear windscreen heaters.

The colour will make a difference but the bulk of the heat comes in via the windscreen and the greenhouse effect, heating up the dashboard etc.
A windscreen cover will make more difference than the van colour, 10 degrees or more.
I have checked Caddy SA (2015-2020) -> PQ35
& Caddy SB (2020-) -> MQB.
Unfortunately both get their windscreen wipers stopped in random positions after switching ignition OFF.
