...vehicle, unless I've missed that somewhere.
It may be a Vw passenger car dealer, which is why there would be no manufacturer extendedwarranty, so they can have the 'all-in' as said in the original post.
Would also make sense as to why they can't check the service history 'online' as they...
I didn't hang onto it much after the issues arose as I was expecting the MB extendedwarranty to come to the rescue but needless to say they didn't want to know anything about it.
The oil ingress in the sensor wasn't the easiest to spot as it was subtle and not as such flooded in oil.
My first crank seal was done at around 3.5 years of the 5 year extendedwarranty and then again under the All In, but as a gesture of goodwill, although if I’d have pushed it the first repair should/would have come with a 2 year guarantee on materials and labour anyway.
Vote with your feet and...
Thanks. It seems quite a few go for the all in plan. Might have to go for it.
Just been told that the center I wanted to use for the service + diagnostic, they said the can't do the diagnostic till at least the 17th but can't do the service next day. Really need the diagnostic done as well to be...
I've just tried to book my van into Listers Coventry Van centre to have some warranty work done on my van using my extendedwarranty. They cant have it in before April cos they are busy.
Once again my ACC failed whilst I was driving, the Carista reset I'd done previously fixed it for about 1500...
I was successful in the end. The warranty works well for me. Not so much the VW dealership who hadnt contacted them when assured they would. All sorted.
Hi, how difficult were VW in replacement of the unit? Am about to start this process with them - I have extended VW warranty, van has full VW service history.
thanks in advance. George
Had the Flywheel replaced and picked the van up today at my own expense even tho it was in the last month of extendedwarranty. Vibrations gone, engine quieter/smoother and feels like a new van. Which asks the question, why did VW turn me away twice, stating to me it’s normal to hear a spanner...
Thanks Mick, good to know.
I’ll check on the works being done elsewhere. Was your extendedwarranty part of the “All In” deal.. (2 service, 2 yr roadside, 2 MOT and 2 year warranty) ?
Just took my 2017 T6 to local VW for a service at 75k. They told me the flywheel was knocking and are replacing it under warranty. Is this an extendedwarranty item and r are they doing an “as required” product recall on these?
Got exact same van and exact same problem 19reg. Bit worried at the moment and not sure if vw are going to cover it under the extendedwarranty. Doubt it!!
I've just had two flushes and a replacement EGR under vw warranty.
As part of the two year factory extendedwarranty years 4 and 5.
I've now signed up for ALl-IN for years 6 and 7.
I think that's the max VW are offering at the mo.
....
EGR is one of the most common warranty jobs done...
I had, the factory extended (year 4/5), then straight into the all-in (year 6/7)
.
If you have all-in you can call the VW fs warranty department and ask them what's covered...
Totally separate from asking the dealer, that way you can verify what the dealer is telling you.
