Yes the tracker makes sense, current JK policy sent me a toy tracker to fit in the van, no idea whether it still works. Getting a decent S5 seems to be around £400 inc. fitting, then a £14 per month subscription forever.

I have a Global Telemetrics S5 tracker system in mine, occasionally, but not all the time it can take 8 to 10 seconds to 'ignite', that's while the satellites converse, they tell me. Do you have a tracker/immobiliser installed? (I'll go Meta Trak next time)

AF’s quote was over £1200 with the tracker, they wouldn’t insure without it. Current insurers offer a discount for certain trackers but have to admit I’ve an irrational aversion to trackers having had one fitted in a company vehicle for 10+ years and seeing them used for nefarious reasons!

For ease of use i'd recomend the Ghost system and a tracker........we had ours done as a Package.
