Just drove to South Spain in one go 45mpg @ 80mph with AC full where could, couldnt believe this time how busy all routes were. What a farce at eurotunnel blagged pcr tests and by the time our results were through we were halfway to Paris, not bad will miss the van when home as new one has arrived.
Evening folks,
Has anyone travelled from France back to the UK via the tunnel recently? Did the British or French passport control ask for your covid test certificate?
As per thread title and without getting involved in politics or sport (after Wales suppying their own ref yesterday) but how is it that pubs will be open after a fashion from April 12th and allowing their customers to use the toilets but campsites have to wait until after the May Day bank...
Well after reading the main stream media this morning , it looks like our easter trip , may bank holiday and spring bank trip will probably be cancelled. Fingers crossed we still get to go to Padstow in July .
Hi all,
I have been receiving a fair number of enquiries as to how we are currently operating, so to try and inform as many people as possible, here's an update on how the Van Cave will be doing business throughout the remainder of the current national lockdown.

I started this before Christmas, Its taken a lot longer than I would have liked but due to getting covid, then blood clots, sort of set me back a bit. I know its not for my van but it may explain why I call myself woodman. I have yet to start the matching cupboard and bookshelf top.
Tell you what lads, i cant wait for us to be out the end of this, its a real struggle at the moment!!!
My father lost his dad last night, and hes N. Irish so we cant even go over for the funeral. BULLSHIT.
Bring on many weekends camping this summer, and hopefully a nice forum meet, where ever...
I keep hearing of a COVID-19 tax which I assume is prices going up.
Speaking to a dealer a weekend or so ago they can't get enough vans in.
Anyone got any experience of what this uplift is?

Hi Guys,
I’ve got a 68 plate T6 combi which I took in for first service at VW 3 weeks ago as I wanted piece of mind for driving to SW France for a holiday. Prior to service I had the oil light on on the display although level was fine, this turned out to be because of rodent damage to cables...
Ordered the new van that was due on or before the 1st of September , now been told it’s been put back to an ETA of the 1st of October.
Apparently it’s built but because of the back log due to COVID it’s stuck in Germany apparently.
Anyone else having problems with delivery and ETA of their vans...
Just wondering if anyone have been over recently or planning in the near future.

We are off to C&MC site at Longleat from Mon to Wed this coming week. No particular reason for choosing that one other than a massive desire to go somewhere (anywhere ?) and it had spaces.
Anyone got anything planned in the next few weeks ?
Pete
P.S. Going to the T6 forum meet at Brook Meadow...
