Hi anybody fitted 12 volt RGB led light strips in their van, the ones that I've fitted get very very hot
I've been informed that all led strip lights get hot
Mine are fitted into cut out channels in the kitchen units, about 10mm wide with a diffuser
Has anyone done a halo roof or bars of led lights instead of the usual downlighters along the sides?
I've been experimenting with a flexible led strip we use in the awning before we finish the interior of our pop top install:
So playing with LED strips RGB so 4 wire I thought because red wire used for red LEDs black wire would become pos so connected black to small test battery (12v from motorbike) lovely lights up as expected.so on to IR remote control box connected 4 pin and plug into control box.then this is bit...
Does anyone know why my interior LED strip has gone yellow (well almost an orangy-browny colour really)? The output is really dull and barely noticeable now too - they used to be bright, white light. Other interior lights remain unchanged so I don't think it's a power or battery issue. The van...
I'm adding 3 "zones" of strip lights to my camper:

They will be controlled from an Arduino Mega and at a later stage I...
Hi all,
I just want to add some LED strips into the roof lining of my T6... surely I do not need to go down the split charger ect route to do so?
Can I not just connect them to the existing interior light cables and add a 3-way rocker switch?
Thanks
Just re-vamping sons bedroom and want to install some of the 3 colour ribbon LED lights usually used in kitchens.
We need 3 maybe 4 sections of LEDs joined by cables with a controller to select the colours. Max 6 meters of lighting.
There seems a plethora of suppliers / makes on the...
Looking at LED strip lights for the van rear. They will be working off the leisure battery, looking at some short runs in shelves and around the roof area.
What do I need, strip leds, 1 into 4 splitter, power supply unit, controller. What else?
Also there are so many suppliers on eBay who have...

Been on here a while but think this is my first post.
I want to install some colour changing LED’s into a halo roof am a bit unsure whether I need a regulator or not.
I’m going to wire them into the interior lights as don’t have a leisure battery- so they act in the same way as the...

I have been having problems with the wiring of my interior LED strip lights. Getting so frustrated as it's completely puzzled me.
This is the fuse box that the 2 LED control units are powered from (under drivers seat on side of leisure battery).
Circuit 1 is connected to the 2A fuse (bottom...
I've got a transporter panel van and will be installing some shelving. I'd like some LED strips under the shelves that will come on and off like the current lights (as the doors open and close).
Anyone know any information about how to do this?
Dear forum,
I want to put strip LED lighting along the inside ceiling edge of the rear of my transporter.
LED strips of 10m are easy to find and cheap on ebay - although don't mind spending a bit of money on quality.
Question is, and I'm clueless with electrics, - can I just wire into...
Hi all. Have really been pondering the idea of customising a set of H4 headlights, putting in Hids and strips.
Have a few ideas and was wondering if anyone had done anything like this and / or what strips did they use to get round any Canbus errors?
Also I should ask how far you can go with...
Ok, so I've got a shed load of 12v led strip/ ribbon lights left over from the kitchen and wondered about putting the in the van. I'm thinking in the tailgate area just to add a bit of light when loading up at night. Could I just take a feed from the light in the back or is it more complicated...
