Im looking to remove my kombi seat brackets and to change the vinyl flooring in my van ready for a fixed bed to go in, my questions are
1 - once I remove the seat brackets is there a way to patch up the holes that it will leave without replacing the full ply floor?
2 - if it’s possible to...
Hi Everyone,
My first T6 conversion so apologies for my naivety…
But looking for a bit of advice from those who have fit altro / vinyl floor to their ply floor please
I have an ex-fleet swb panel, and it has a decent condition ply floor which I intend to put back down. However, its hex ply...
Hi. Hopefully an easy question to answer. I’ve just purchased a 6.1 and it was already ply lined by VW. Does anyone know how VW apply the floor ply and will it be a bugger to lift up? Many thanks
Hi all, looking at putting a 2+1 in my panel van which is pld and carpeted already. It had a single seat in the rear already but been advised you need the rubber mat to hide the brackets. The current seat has the brackets and sits on top of carpet so do I need to remove the ply for a 2+1 or not...
Free to anyone that can make use of ply flooring from a 23 swb t6.1 and also the two piece metal bulkhead, collection only from ls23 Wetherby can photograph later if necessary
My camper build has got to the stage where I need to remove the loadspace floor ready for the camper floor.
The van has only done 3000 miles since new with only one work trip carrying wooden crates.
It is in really good condition. It seems to be very hard wearing.
The piece behind the...
Hi everyone,
Just picked up our new 2013 Transporter and starting to strip the back ready for conversion.
I have cut the battens for the floor and wanted some opinions on what to stick them down with.
My plan is to get a ply floor with the holes for the kombi rear seats and then secure it...
I've got a T6.1 which is ply-lined and four years ago I stuck down some carpet lining. It's now looking really tatty and, as it's really just a van (rather than a camper) I'm now thinking some rubber on the floor might be better.
I'd be grateful for anyone's recommendations and also some...
Hi All,
Have been researching high and low and for the life of me i cant find one. Is there a definitive cut list for the floor packers (SWB or LWB). If not I'll make a SWB one up for the forum.
Any feedback welcome :-)
I’m connected to new start up business that targets better quality 1 piece floors is part of the product development plan. One’s been designed & need someone with and empty T6 van to collaborate with ( test fit it)
For your trouble, the prototype floor will be available at raw material cost...
I bought two 8x4 sheets of 15mm grey hexagrip ply to make a unit but didn't bother in the end. Just wondering if anyone is interested. Would be collection from Brighton only.
£100 for both
I'm about to start laying my floor down on my panel van. I bought the dodo thermo liner 10mm and a 12mm floor (which I plan to screw down).
My only concern is the side step. Deepest step I've found is the van-x 17mm, which clearly leaves me short.
Has anyone managed to make this work? Or do I...
Van floor - I’m in the process of fitting Dodomat DEADN 2mm to the floor which will then be covered with Dodo Thermoliner 6mm.
I‘ll then ply the top, would a 9mm hardwood ply be sufficient? That should raise the floor by 17mm and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen an aftermarket side step with a 17mm...
Hi all,
I am starting my firt project - a T6 from 2016. Prviously owned by a gas installation company. I got to removing the previously installed plywood flooring, but find that it seems to be glued onto the corrugated base of the van (glues only to the raised parts of the corrugate). I...
Hi everyone
I’m sure this has been covered numerous times before, so apologies for that!! Found similar threads but no exact answers
Ply flooring, this is my understanding……
So it’s 9mm batons attached using Sikkaflex between the ridged sections
And then dodomat (DEADN?) between the batons...
I’ve fitted a 1 piece 14mm floor & so don’t need the 3 piece 9mm floor I purchase or ply liner kit.
We don’t smoke, but floor is marked as fitted for a month & measured for project, but entirely usable. Ply liner panels are entirely unmarked & still in packaging. Comes complete with screws etc...
I've started my conversion and im looking a saving a bit of money cutting my own ply panels. The van came with a ply floor and i planned to use that as a template or i could just repurpose it and put it back it as its 10mm. Have a couple of questions about it though. Its a two piece floor split...
Giving away the flooring provided by the dealership. Only a few months old. Some scuffs etc but structurally fine. Pick up from Peckham in South East London. DM for details.
Hello all. I have a T28 6.1
It already had 6mm ply flooring down (looks CNC cut) when I bought it.
I will be bolting the units to the flooring.
I have two options, use the 6mm ply, and add 9mm ply batons glued under the 6mm ply (between the metal grooves) for extra strength where the units...
