¾” Birch Ply for U-shaped bed furniture

I'm going to be making my own cabinets for my conversion, it will feature a pretty standard style of u shaped bed and stowage behind the drivers seat, I have a few sheets of 3/4 birch ply left over from another project and I'm wondering if it might be OTT weight wise? I'm happy enough to machine the ply into lighter weight 'frames' where applicable. The van's a LWB T6.1 150 hp T32, no high cabinets the only extra high up weight would be a pop top and solar panels, windows and insulation. The cost of buying in more ply whilst I have ply in stock is an influencing my decision. I'm guessing the sheets weigh 35 kilo each maybe?

I would find the weight of a sheet 18 mm birch ply vs 15 mm, see what the weight difference is for about 3 sheets, probably not much in the grand scheme of your conversion, then make a choice weight vs ££
