2+1 seat installation

Hi thinking of installing a 2+1 in my t6 Can I do it myself or will the insurance definitely want certification thanks

You can do it yourself, but may need to get it certified correctly at the end. Ask your insurers they normally want proof it’s been done correct to VW standards using the correct plates.
I’m sure they are all different though!

Have a think about 1+1+1 set up, might cost more but will give you more flexibility and taking out the single seats is a one person job whereas a 2 seat bench needs 3 shredded wheat

The fitter can give you a letter to confirm original parts used should the insurance company request one. That’s all you should need.
