2010 T5 caravelle with new engine worth buying?

You will have to forgive me as an absolute newbie to this forum ✌️

Please see the attached link. As you can see the engine was replaced a year ago due to oil leaking. I have seen on this forum that the early T5 180bhp engines had issues with the EGR valve/cooler fans disintegrating and metal getting into the cylinders which caused high oil consumption and ultimately a new engine needed.

This has made me extremely anxious about buying one with the 180bhp bi turbo engine.

However this van has had a brand new engine so I am assuming the new EGR valve cooler fan is the new suffix d version so there should not be any further issues.

Thanks,
Josh

It had 259,000 miles 16 mobths ago yet the listing says 6000. He'll doubtless argue it only got 6000 miles on the new engine, but that not an open and honest start to a potential transaction.

It had a hefty list of advisories at the last MOT on that reg, even if seen to before they can progress and cause problems that's still a lot to spend and no mention on the listing of any of it having been rectified.

And considering the mileage it's not that keenly priced.

I don't like undue risk so I myself would walk on by. There's no shortage of them out ther for sale.
