I'm considering buying a T28 with 119000 miles with full service history. Should I be careful about buying it because of the high mileage?

Not at all. It should have had a cam belt change by now. Give it a good drive. Check the history fully. Try and code read it. I’d also recommend testing the clutch and flywheel - reversing up a hill always help show up a weakness.
These engines, correctly serviced will do mega miles.

I've just turned 100k in my 16 plate T6 and I'm not in the slightest bit worried. Damn, I hope I haven't jinxed it.

Not at all. Most of the wear in an engine occurs during cold starts, this van has probably been a work van that has been on motorways and major roads a lot, racking up the miles but causing very little wear. It's all about servicing, if done properly this van has many more thousands of miles left in it. As long as the price reflects the mileage it might be a good deal.
I used to drive work motors that were thrashed every day, 7 days a week, by their second birthday they'd all gone well past 100K, but they were serviced religiously and they were in great condition mechanically.
