Hello fellow T6 forum folk!

The time has come. Our beloved 2017 VW Transporter T6 T28 Highline SWB 150 PS (named Thunderwulf) is being put up for sale. Very much bittersweet, but we want something a bit bigger.

The basics
I bought the van from a dealer near Marple, Manchester, back in May 2020. It was a local plumber's van, covered 27k miles and had been regularly serviced at the local garage. It's covered 64k miles. Based in Skipton.

I completed the conversion in August 2020 (my second conversion of a T6). It has 5 belted seats, double swivel seat, pop top, 12v/240v power, gas, running water, diesel heater, rib bed, upper bed and a host of other upgrades.

Since then it's been well-loved. New oil and filters at half service intervals, any major work completed at main dealer or VW specialists. The van is "Bang-on"... not my words, but the words of Aire Valley Workshop in Skipton (VW specialist) after I'd put it in for a health check and inspection in April.

The details

- Heating: 2Kw diesel heater, controlled by digital display in van. Takes feed from main fuel tank - much cleaner that way!
- Lighting: LED lighting throughout.
- Interior: Fitted black carpet front mats and step mats. Rear carpet too for shoes etc. Wooden panel effect flooring throughout. Light grey suede carpet throughout (lovely feel - much better than traditional 4 way stretch fabric - originally fitted).

Big mechanical stuff
It had a brand new starter motor and brand new NOX sensor in April 2024. It also had two new swing arms fitted in 2023. New brakes and pads recently fitted all round.

Cambelt done at required intervals by VW main dealer in York. Coolant change in 2023. I've done the oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter at half service intervals. Engine always flushed with Mannol flushing oil. Uses Mannol oil (the one used by VW garages) and I also uses Ceratec treatment by Liquid Moly to reduce engine friction and wear.

The bad bits
This is a used campervan. We love it to bits and we have ventured far and wide (it's been to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Scotland, Outer Hebrides, Orkney and countless journeys to Northumberland. It has never let us down.

Being a used van, it does have a few very very minor scratches and a couple of very minor dents.

There is a very small crack in the windscreen (25mm). This was professionally repaired by AutoGlass in 2022. It is outside of the drivers field of view and is not an MoT failure or advisory. Perfectly safe and road legal. It has not become any worse since it happened.

Price
Looking at what is out there that is roughly equivalent, private sellers, I think £35k is fair. Message me if you want a video walk through of the van.
