hi all

has anyone done this, ie created a sort of stealth kombi without the windows behind the first row?

looking at legalities ref installing a 2nd row ( 2+1) with all accociated belts, strengtheners etc, BUT, with no 2nd row windows
idea is to fully carpet line rear and have as a kombi, but without windows?

is this legally acceptable, if all parts are original and to standard

cheers

As long as the seats are fitted correctly, then not having windows poses no problem legally. Remember to get the V5C changed.

just had a look at dvlc v5 changes

the only ones stated are change of engine cc, increase weight of original plated weight, change of fuel type, and change of use to motor home / motor caravan

cant see anything ref increasing seating ?,

would this be because it can be removed to allow van use in full?, as opposed to crew / staff movements

What do you mean by BIK issue?

As for changes at the very bottom on the front of the V5C it says: "Failure to tell the DVLA of any changes may result in penalty and / or prosecution."

I would consider adding seats a change.
