4motion propshaft

Morning all. I'm having problems now with the propshaft as the centre joint has shot all it's grease out and now feels like it's grabbing. I'm having it repaired, but the question I've got is can I run without it whilst it's being repaired and not cause any damage to anything. In theory it should be ok but just wounded if anyone else had a take on it. TIA

I had a 4m before.

And there was some specific notes about towing due to the rear diff and haldex.

Might be worth getting some more info before driving about, just in case.

I won't be towing just pottering to work and back, but I don't want to kill anything. Where would I find some info or those notes you are on about? The only things I found is on the old defender which says it's OK, but the 2 things are abit different.

Personally I wouldn't. The ABS works in conjunction with 4 motion and it may not like the fact the 2 aren't mechanically joined.

Discussion en the Danish Cali-forum. Is It OK to tow a 4Motion (with DSG) only in the front wheels? Or is it no go and why? What do you think … EDIT: Pictures just for illustration (From a Mazda Manual)

I don't see any problems [EDIT] as long as oil stays in.

Might just leave it at his then as I can't afford to pay for anymore big bills if I bugger it up
