5 Year Warranty.....

Whilst looking around for some exterior styling ideas I visited the Aus VW website......they get a 5 year warranty !

It's got to be linked to European weather and rust issues or maybe Aus consumers are more demanding...

If your van is less than 90 days old you can purchase a 2-year factory warranty extension.

Yes we do. When I ordered my van back in October there was an end of year special where they were giving an extended 5 year warranty but the dealer said because mine was being built in 2019 he could not guarantee the warrantee but luckily VW made it standard. That was a great bonus. I think it's relatively cheap to extend the warranty over in the UK. Here it was some crazy price before they made it standard.

Just noticed this on the VW Commercial Vehicles website-


Warranty

We will give you a two year parts and labour warranty**

** Genuine Volkswagen parts, fitted by Volkswagen trained technicians. Warranty applies from date of purchase, excludes wear and tear and does not apply to parts fitted under the terms of the vehicle warranty

I guess it is still 3 years ?

I know probably swearing by mentioning ford. But ford offer an extra 2 years warranty if you pay an extra £300 when you purchase the motor.
5 years peace of mind warranty full factory warranty for £300 is a steal.
