ABT side skirts

Hi guys just finished fitting the bargain ABT side skirts I bought from eBay fortunately they were already the correct paint colour ( deep black ) so I didn’t need to get them painted. I fixed them on with Tiger Seal no drilling etc and kept them in position overnight with masking tape and a couple of jacks and various bits of wood for packing , the following day I just went along the joint between the body and skirt with a final line of Tiger Seal and a cloth dampened with white spirit .IMG_2425.jpegIMG_2427.jpegIMG_2426.jpegIMG_2428.jpegIMG_2430.jpegIMG_2431.jpeg

Looks smart. If you can get hold of some ppf put some on the front part facing the wheel. It takes a pounding with stones and be back to bare plastic in no time.

Thanks mate I believe it was you that suggested it a while ago when I did my first post about this, I took your advice and brought a roll of ppf for the job . I am also thinking of getting some flat mud flaps which I could modify/ cut down short to fit inside the bottom of the front wheel arch and maybe use the ppf along the side skirt to protect it as well.

Yeah pal sorry mention it again. The sides seem ok just the underside of the first 10" that have a light peppering but haven't broken though to plastic. The mud flaps will help no end with stone damage.

Makes sense to protect the paint work from stone chips the front end of the stainless steel side bars I took off after 10 years were totally shot blasted if they had been plain chrome they would have been rusty .
