Good morning,

My AC suddenly stopped working recently, while my van was being serviced at Vw specialist in Rochford 3 weeks ago, I had them look at it and they said it just needed re-gassing and the AC was working ok, but last week while in Cornwall it’s already stopped working again.

Has anyone got any ideas or know where I could take it east london / Essex area?

Cheers Matt

Watching this as mine stopped working too after it was regassed

When yours was regassed was it working for abit?
Mine worked ok for 2 weeks and then just suddenly stopped coming through cold…

Yep exactly the same was cold for two weeks then nothing. I looked under the van and there's green luminous fluid all over the compressor

I’ve not even checked under mine, I will have to go check..
need some recommendations on where to get it sorted, especially after paying out once..

I had a similar issue, the luminous green fluid all over the compress is the lubricant from the gas. The seal on my compressor had failed and resulted in a new compressor being needed.

New compressor fitted and re-gassed, no issues so far.

Blimey that's bad , mine is only 4 years old,

I only changed the compressor because it was clearly visible that the pump was leaking, I could see bubbles coming out the housing. You maybe lucky and find it is the o rings. Have a good look around the compressor to see if you can find the source.

Sorry to sound silly, but is the compressor visible from looking under the bonnet or do I need to take off the engine cover underneath and look under there??
Also no faults are coming up on carista…

Mine suddenly went a month or so ago, turned out it was an aircon pipe that had a hole - pipe is located to the left behind the radiator. The pipe had been trapped, possibly during some other work, causing it to chafe and eventually it gained the hole and my lovely ice cold air con turned to warm air! Pipe replacement was £167 +VAT!

Yes, at the bottom you should see the compressor. You must have some gas otherwise you would have a low pressure fault.
