Adding 2nd USB to Discover Media Nav

Ok, that means headunit out to wire it in and the full list of parts which is over £200 ?

Well that puts a different slant on it and I don’t need one that much. I’ll get some extras put in the back when I get the leasure battery works done. Thanks @Pauly

I must be the only T6 owner with 2 factory fit USB ports that wishes they both didn't work with Carplay. I don't use Carplay but use spotify to play music via blutooth from my phone. The missus charges her phone via one of the dash mount USB ports. Every time she plugs her phone in, it interrupts spotify & I get "Reading USB 2" displayed on the head unit. Not the end of the world, but a tad annoying.

That's a point, maybe you can get an adapter to cut out the data pins?

I hate to dig up an old thread, but I haven't had much luck finding the mentioned parts list/part numbers to install the second usb in the cubby. Can you point me in the right direction @Pauly ?

I have the list but VW have superseded the cables and one of them appears to be incorrect/doesn’t fit, I’m just sorting this out for someone else at the moment so should be able to confirm in a couple days, send me a pm at the weekend and will see what I can do

I wanted a quick solution so bought some grommets and rerouted a cable from the glove box to the cubby using some cable grommets to keep it neat.

Was disappointed the dealer didn't mention this was a useful option as we did discuss whether there were any useful options I had missed.

I like my solution now as it means I don't have a whole cable stuffed in the cubby.

Very neat.

I found some PNs for parts required to add the usb port in the cubby:

5G0035953D - USB distributor with integrated voltage converter - 97,55 €
7H1971301B - Bracket for usb distributor or voltage converter - 3,80 €
6C0035726 - Usb socket with cover - 18,46 €

If anyone has PNs for the cables, I haven't yet been able to find those. I guess two more cables similar to the one below are needed? Not 100% sure though.

OK yes my van came without this despite me speccing it so got provided with all of the bits (mostly).

I got 2 x 000 098 601 A cables

My socket looks to be 510 035 726

I then got what looks like 4 repair wires but no plug to power the hub?

Along with a hub bracket (no idea where that goes?) and some 'KLEBEBAND' electrical tape
