Adding 2x more factory Kombi LED headliner lights?

My T6.1 Kombi has got 2x these one in the load area, one in the middle seating area. I’d like to add 2x to it so there’s two above the middle row seats and two out back in the load area.

1- can I just add these and splice into the existing lights wiring to power them?

2- do I need a connector or anything to plug into these?

Many thanks!

you could splice them in to the existing wiring or potentially make up an intermediate loom, female plugs are available to fit the original socket, id personally go that way as it reversible. there is a part number thread on here pauly put together with the plug part numbers

the female plug is 535972713 and wiring 000979041E you need 1 wire per plug as they come with two ends.

I’ve added these to mine via adapters I made from one of the lights so now have 4 on the roof. Also added two extra on tailgate too. There’s never enough leds

I’ve bought extra little looms for the lights from eBay. They come with the correct plug and 6” of wires (three though instead of two, so one will be removed).

I’ll just tap into the existing lights to power them. Just a short run from each (front right to the new front right, rear left to new rear left).

I’ll do it with proper connectors or I’ll solder and heat shrink - no decided yet.

Should be OK shouldn’t it? I don’t want any warning lights or battery drain issues!

Cheers,
