Additional Button to close Power Tailgate

Hi All,
Have a T6.1 with electric tailgate.
I have seen that places do coding on the key fob so that you can close the tailgate with the fob.
I have the internal switch to open the tailgate but has anyone managed to fit a switch to close the tailgate from the inside?

It could be a life or death moment! If carried away by a flood the front of the vehicle drops deepest into the water due to the engine ect. The rear floats high and where some one panicking to survive might go. It would be essential to be able to open the rear tail gate easily in that situation in order to escape.

On that note, we have in each of our vehicles, those devices to smash or break windows safely. We have them on key rings and mounted within the vehicle. Though I must say not at the very rear,,,ummmm must rectify that!

But seriously, for example, Have three young kids doing lots of activities. If I drop them off and they are getting things from the boot, then being able to stay in the car is just useful but they can’t reach the tailgate switch. Is there on both of our cars so not sure why VW don’t do it in the van
