Advice on Seats

Hi all and one. Hope everyone is well. I’m looking for some advise on upgrading my 21plate t6.1 Kombi highline seats for something more comfortable. Two things I’m trying to gain are better support in the lumbar (as VWs current lumber adjuster does little to nothing) and to upgrade to heated seats. I currently have 2+ 1 in the front but will swap for 2 with a new floor bracket. I don’t want to spend the Earth. What have you all fitted to gain this? Other manufactures seats or VW seats??

HI Sam - welcome to the forum.

The search function (top right of page) is your friend, but here's your starter for 10...

Oh, and don't forget to post pics of your van - we run a strict "if there's no pics, it didn't happen policy" around here. ;)

Hi, thanks for your reply. I did have a little search before my post but couldn’t find anything specific. Do you require some pics of my DUB for this post?

Pics in any post you choose mate - we're not fussy, just nosy.

Great looking van BTW.

Cheers. What did something like that set you back and are they heated?
I paid £950 for the seats, then about £400 for new bases with swivels. They are heated but haven't got round to wiring them yet and now I'm switching them out for a slightly higher spec fully electric version.

Thanks for the info. I’d miss the arm rests though as much as I like the Audi super sport seats for looks and comfort.

I’ve changed my drivers seat out for a Mk8 Golf R heated seat. Not sorted the heating yet. I picked up an adaptor plate cheap from the THQ WhatsApp group. Easy swap. As above, I don’t miss the arm rests at all as the seat is that much comfier. It keeps me in a better, more central driving position, where the factory seat always had me leaning left for some reason.

Hi, My understanding is that most seat frames on VW/ Audi / Skoda are the same so you can just swop the foam inserts, either buy new covers or get a upholsterer to make bespoke ones. Can point you inthe direction of a good vehicle upholsterer if needed.

I couldn’t be without them on a long journey. 4 hours to Cornwall. Adaptive cruise on, DSG, feet back arm rests down. No better way to be
I've got Mk8 Golf seats and trust me you won't miss the arm rest. Did South of France last year and the year before and never once missed them.

Thanks. Had one quote for 2k which I just couldn’t get my head around to re fabric two seats.
