Aerial/Tadio Rrception.

My reception is crap, comes in and out all the time factory fitted system, not been messed with yet. . Does anyone else have this problem, have you found a solution. What did you do please.

FM or DAB? If the latter I changed my DRLs from one set of LEDs to a more expensive DAB compatible set and it greatly improved reception

Thanks for the reply, DAB is the problem. I'm really sorry but I'm a GIMP in respect of 'in car technology' so have to ask what is DRL's(blushing).

I meant daylight running lights, but it applies to any LEDs you may have installed including interior ones I think. Basically, if you or a previous owner has replaced any bulbs with LEDs, it's worth taking them out/turning them off to see if DAB reception improves

Poor quality usb chargers can also cause dab to drop out.Also Do you have a dash cam fitted ?

Thanks, I'm sorry I didn't know what you meant. No, not changed any exterior bulbs for LED's but I have had 6 LED lights fitted inside as part of the conversion but they are only ever on when we are living in the back of the van so have no affect on the reception.

I sometimes use a dashcam but have reception problem even when I don't use dashcam. I have several USB pionts in the van but mainly use the 12v cigarette lighter sockets for phone charging when travelling. However - again I still have reception problems even when the phone is not plugged into for charging while travelling. I am tempted to take the cover off the door mirror to check the aerial connections ???.
