Aftermarket Sportline spoilers/splitters.....

Hello, thanks for letting me join.
I have just bought a 18 plate T6 . I want to ask for recommendations on supply only (including painting)
of a sportline splitter & barn door spoiler .

If it’s black white or silver (Sportline colours) you can get them prepainted straight from VW if not then you need to decide if you want to go genuine or aftermarket and find a decent local body shop to paint it for you

I’m happy with my Travelin Lite ver. Just search the forum for reviews.

looks nice Bob. Is it a genuine VW part or a copy?
I'm wondering if it's worth paying more for the VW part.

Morning , got it from vanstyle on eBay £74 , plastic not fibreglass , very very good quality and can’t tell the difference once painted and put on .

Hi there

I’ve just bought a lower splitter From Van style for a sportline bumper. It has 4 bulbs and several screws. Anyone fitted one of these? Is it obvious where the bolts/ screws go? Do I use some Sikaflex (what colour) to seal it or is it enough with just the screws/ bolts

Do I need to drill around the existing screws in the bottom or if I ever have to take the bumper off, would I have to take the front splitter off first?

Any assistance and advice would be really useful

Cheers

Rob

Is there a difference in fitment quality of the non Genuine front spoilers? Seen that there are many suppliers of ABS quality ones but wanted to see if anyone has any experience with issues when it came to fitting.

I’ve read some posts that state the Travelin Lite splitters fit better than the OEM splitters.

I’m really pleased with my Van-X splitter: it’s narrower and less protruding than OEM, was a doddle to fit, came pre-painted and fits really well. Plus the centre section looks better with its honeycomb grille.

Ditto.

Has anyone bought the aftermarket 19” t6 sportline alloys?

and does anyone have the 18” genuine part numbers? For the silver and grey wheels?

thanks

I didn’t realise copies were being made in 19” - I only saw 18’s and 20’s when I was looking. Have you got a link to these 19’s?

I knew I’d seen it here somewhere. Google these to check they’re the right design.

Silver sportline alloy

The last number will likely differentiate between the colours

I am looking for T6 sportline lower bumper spoiler. I was reading that genuine is not great fit and Travelin lite was better. I bought rear spoiler from them, which was bent like banana. Ended up buying genuine one which is lot better. Don't want to make the same mistake, so thought i will check this time.

I bought my Sportline splitter from Van-X and it came painted. It’s a great fit and the finish is just as good.

I have a non-genuine front spoiler and it fits very well. When I had it fitted, the garage recommended i go with genuine on rear but were happy with non-genuine on front. I’m not sure where it came from though.
