Alpine Halo 9 F904DC USB current Issue

After install of a Alpine Halo 9 F904DC, when it turns on I get a warning 'USB current Issue'.

I have the little 4 pin adapter to the VW USB plug connected but if I remove this and plug my phone in directly to the USB on the rear it works ok.

Anyone any ideas, is there is special Alpine VW USB adapter that I am supposed to use?

I’m afraid you cannot use this connection, only compatible with some Vws

Best bet is to use a usb retention kit, this replaces the usb circuit board at the usb location

Ah right thanks, I was under the impression it was a standard VW plug so the adapter would work ok.

Now I have looked up the kit you mention it looks like the USB is picked out of the dash and the new one inserted.
