Alternative Overhead Ambient Light

Hi all,
Looks like the W8 Passat interior lights are all but extinct now.

Has anyone found an alternative replacement?

I was looking at ways to build an ambient module into the existing interior light but obviously that means no back lit buttons

Anyone got any suggestions?

Yeh, had a good search prior to posting,

I should have said "sensibly priced W8 Passat interior lights are all but extinct"

Has anyone found a suitably coloured LED to add into the standard housing to offer some downlight? Not sure a bright red one is what I'm after. Easily dimmed with a resistor sitting in a neat holder but colour might be tricky?
